That I'm able to do anything I set my mind to. You're confident in yourself and you believe in yourself. Stuff that you could achieve. I feel excited. Anything is possible when you're more confident.

We've all seen the headlines. Florida man wrestles alligator in a tuxedo or Florida man sues after finding toenails in his ice cream.

00:01:39 - 00:01:44 | Speaker 12:

It's easy to laugh at the meme. But have you ever wondered about the human behind the headline?

00:01:44 - 00:01:45 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I'm Frankie P.

00:01:45 - 00:01:50 | Speaker 12:

00:01:50 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 4:

From interviews with real people who make Florida weird. I'm pulling it up. And as I'm pulling it up, I see an arm.

00:01:57 - 00:01:58 | Speaker 12:

Stop it.

00:01:58 - 00:01:58 | Speaker 4:

Calm down.

00:01:59 - 00:02:06 | Speaker 12:

To deep dives into the stories you didn't know you were looking for. Hey, give it up for Mark Wahlberg on the podcast today. It's more than just a meme. It's a lifestyle.

00:02:17 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 6:

It's Mojo in the morning. Lydia has a little note that she passed along to me. And the note is, if you text in, pick up your phone. because she wants you to not frustrate her today. No, it's badass. We had such great calls. By the way, the last show was probably the best calls we've had in centuries. We want you on our show, and the only way we get you sometimes is with your texts that you send to us. So if you call 844-MOJO-LIVE, you'll go on the radio. But if you text 95500 and you have something good to say, Lydia, what do you say?

00:02:51 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 7:

Answer.

00:02:52 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 6:

Answer. She gets very upset.

00:02:54 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 7:

No, seriously. if you can't talk that's fine you can specify that but sometimes it does waste my time when you just text in and text in and then when i'm calling you and they let it ring to its entirety i'm like can you at least cut me off like send me a voicemail bum me and what ends up happening is

00:03:08 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 6:

you'll get a number that will call you and it's usually a 248 number and it says iheartmedia on there so um all right mojo in the morning show uh phone number 844 mojo live text 95500 Why are you lying about your age? Megan wants to know right now. What happened, Megan?

00:03:27 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 10:

It makes me, the way you said that makes me think of that song. Look, why the? You lying. Oh, my God. Quit lying. Lying. That's how I feel about this guy. I was talking to a guy. We were trying to set up a date, and I found out that he started lying to me about something that I find to be really uh weird just because it was so unimportant so he told me his age um but here's the thing I'm not going out with somebody until I stalk you online and I stalked him online and I found out he's actually five years older than the age that he told me and I thought what a weird thing to lie about like first of all we're both well I'm in my 30s he said he was in his 30s he's not wait did he like we how old how old is he then he's in his 40s which to me like early 40s is not a big deal like we're not that far apart in age like at the end of the day we are eight years apart that's not insane um but like why why lie about what else are you lying

00:04:33 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 11:

about like what a weird foot to start everything off on and if you guys ever go get drinks together You could just grab his ID and do that. But what I'm saying is that's something to very easily get busted. That's a lie that is so easily busted.

00:04:49 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 10:

And it's not like I'm 21 and you're 30 and that might be a big deal. Like it's our age difference isn't a big deal.

00:04:58 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

I wonder if his lie.

00:05:00 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 5:

have been going on for a while or if they're recent because it is interesting the 40 thing where if your guy is 40 years old maybe you think that a 30 something year old doesn't want to date you or or whatever younger that you want to make yourself 30 but i think actually nowadays it seems like the guys that are in their 40s or even older somehow are getting all these you know 20 and 30

00:05:21 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 4:

year olds but i'm telling my tinder profile set from ranges 23 i think to 45 oh really you're you'd go that old i'm with all the smoke okay but my thing is if you're meeting this guy online i didn't meet him online oh i thought you said you did no it's just in person wow so he's okay

00:05:38 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 5:

so that's the other thing too you can't verbalize your lie like you got like you do it if you do it you got to make it that it you check the wrong box or you put the number wrong number in there all right i don't i can i throw something out real quick meg can i throw out the uh what are why are you lying about your age whether you're lying younger or older and who are you lying to 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 did you know that when i first got into radio i lied about my age for about four or five years because i got in when i was 18 and i was trying to do bar gigs so when i worked at b96 in uh chicago when i was working with george and george mcfly and all those guys that were back there we would do club gigs all the time at different bars and i told them that i was 21 so that i could get into the bars and work and then finally when i turned 21 everybody was like you're 21 which can we i don't even know what the law is can you work can you be under 21 i did i worked at a bar under 21 for the radio station yeah yeah so sometimes

00:06:48 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

it does. Do you remember when I dated somebody that was lying about his age? Oh my God, Shannon, that was a big one. It was like right when I first moved here and he, he told me, so I was 25, I think at this time. And he told me he was 32 and it, I believed this for a couple of months until his friends were calling me to help plan his 40th birthday party. And I was like, wait, What are you talking about? And that's how I found out that he had lied about his age.

00:07:19 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 2:

But I feel like this is the one lie. This and, like, if you have kids or not, you're going to get caught. For sure.

00:07:25 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 5:

But it changed your opinion of him, Shannon.

00:07:27 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 3:

Well, because, like we just said, that makes me go, what else are you lying about? Right. And why?

00:07:34 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Which there are a few other things.

00:07:35 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I probably wouldn't have dated him if I knew he was 40, but, you know.

00:07:38 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 5:

See, that's why he lied. But there were also a lot of things that were lying. There were a lot of other things, yeah. There was a lot of lies there. 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Text 95500 I can't believe how many people lie making themselves older This is pretty wild Mojo, just like you I'm lying about my age for my work Can't they figure that out? Unless you get paid under the table or something

00:08:02 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 4:

I feel like he didn't verbally lie But I feel like Zach lied about his age I had no idea Zach was his age I feel like he's been lying to me this whole time

00:08:13 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 5:

I don't think he's actually 30. I think Zach, because doesn't Zach play like he's, like, 19 or something? It could also be that he's just developed. Well, that is true. But it also could be that you just got done living at your sister's house, too. Like, that makes you, that comes across like it's like Zach, you know, living in a bunk bed at his sister's house. So, what's going on, Kay? Hey, it's Mojo in the morning. Megan found out that the guy that she's been hanging out with is lying about his age. What's up?

00:08:47 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good morning. How are you?

00:08:48 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 5:

We're good, Kay. What's going on?

00:08:51 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 1:

Good. Well, I think it matters because, Megan, did you confirm with him his age after you found out it was a lie?

00:08:59 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 2:

No, but you can't debate how I found out his age. I don't want to get into it. It's personal, but it is factual he lied about his age.

00:09:10 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 1:

So it wasn't like a Facebook, because Facebook, oh, okay. They got an age requirement, so. Yeah.

00:09:16 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 2:

No, unfortunately not that.

00:09:19 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 5:

Do you think if he's lying about his age, he's lying about other things, Kay?

00:09:23 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 1:

Well, it depends, because maybe he thought like, oh, I'm 40, I'm too old for it, he's not going to be interested. So I don't know if it's like that big of a deal.

00:09:34 - 00:09:34 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:09:36 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 5:

John, what did you want to say about this, John?

00:09:38 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 6:

oh i was just saying because me and my wife were eight years apart and i met her through facebook and stuff but if you start lying about one thing then you're probably lying about other things you know they might have somebody on the side or you know you never know it's just

00:09:54 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

you have proof of this from your guys's lives uh i mean i've met

00:09:59 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 6:

Thank you.

00:10:00 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 2:

women before that you know they said they're sage and then you know go on a day and then find out one time that they were married and i was like oh okay and then even worse i was just when i was in texas and i was just like oh man and then i found out i worked with the guy that was actually his

00:10:17 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 7:

wife and i didn't even know the guy oh wow i i always find it interesting that people people that lie about being married before because their lives started at such a young age like you'll hear these people that you know that got married when they were like 19 and won't tell anybody that that's the case because they feel like people are gonna judge them on that hey rachel what's up

00:10:37 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 3:

it's mojo in the morning hi good morning what's going on so i had matched with this guy on bumble and you know looking through his profile pictures i'm like oh cute he has a dog and i asked him about it and he says yeah i have a dog well a couple dates later it came time to i was like yeah i'll come over to your place i was like i'd love to see your dog oh well i don't actually have a dog and i'm like what like you just told me you had a dog and it was in your profile picture so then of course there was a story for that and then um he also wait why did he lie about having a dog i don't know like his lies were just baffling to me it was just i'm like why would

00:11:28 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 7:

you lie about that maybe he's lying about a dog to make himself look like a softer gentler guy

00:11:32 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 3:

you know what i mean like a dog guy possibly i don't know because then the next lie i caught him in he told me he had a degree and then come to find out he's like well i haven't graduated yet And I'm like, then you don't have a degree. Right.

00:11:47 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 6:

He's just a manifester. He's going to manifest the degree. He's going to manifest the dog. It's all coming. Just take it.

00:11:54 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 7:

What's the worst lie? The degree or the dog? Which one do you think? The dog. Really?

00:11:59 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Probably the dog because the degree he was at least working towards, the dog was nowhere to be found.

00:12:07 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 1:

That's serial killer behavior.

00:12:09 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 7:

That is kind of. Hey, Leah, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. How you doing?

00:12:14 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 4:

did you say leah yeah that's you hi first time long time awesome i love hearing you say that guys um so i actually had a guy lie about where he lived he made up a whole story saying that um i couldn't come over to his place he was in the middle of moving and he's like so weird even moving to this other apartment that same owners of the complex own it's just a different location i even got it where i'm right above the like showing apartment and because i like it super quiet i'm like that's really odd and how i actually like found out about the live was when i finally went over there and we went out with some friends and the friends were like oh well you know how long have you known this guy have you checked out the skeletons in his closet and i'm like that's a really weird comment to make and i got home got to his house apartment and there was a skeleton in the closet like a real one yeah like a legit skeleton halloween skeleton oh okay why not a real one sorry not like csi thing like the halloween decorations but it was we're way past christmas at this time so i was like how did they know that he had a skeleton yeah christmas Halloween by the way can i tell you

00:13:38 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 7:

something about the skeleton in the closet thing everybody should just put their skeletons in their closet just so they could say that phrase oh my god jason your lie could get you in jail what

00:13:48 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 5:

happened yeah it certainly could uh well first time long time guys so i back in my younger days i i did the dating app and uh i was 27 at the time and I started talking to a girl who said she was 25 and ended up having the day off from work. So we met up, went home, baked a little cookies. The next day, she friends me on Facebook only to find out that she's 19.

00:14:26 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. Thank God. She was right there at that mark.

00:14:32 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 7:

You're lucky, buddy. I almost had a heart attack. You're lucky. That would have not been a good situation.

00:14:38 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 1:

But what happens in that situation if you are lied to and somebody is underage? I don't know.

00:14:44 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 7:

Well, you have to prove it because they're going to probably lie and say that they told them how old they were.

00:14:48 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 1:

You know what I mean? Yeah.

00:14:49 - 00:14:58 | Speaker 7:

You're absolutely right. One last one on this one. Amanda lied about her age and now has to celebrate multiple birthdays. Is that right, Amanda?

00:15:00 - 00:15:08 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Okay, well, I have to start that. Anyone that knows me knows my real age, but I will celebrate my big dirty 30 until I can't pass as 30 anymore.

00:15:09 - 00:15:12 | Speaker 3:

So you just lie and keep yourself 30 years old. I love it.

00:15:12 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, if you still look like it, why not take that validation and just celebrate?

00:15:18 - 00:15:20 | Speaker 3:

You know what? How many 30 birthdays have you had?

00:15:21 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 5:

Five.

00:15:25 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 4:
