Hey there, I'm Kat. I'm a college athlete. I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, which caused back pain and stiffness every day. With Cosentix, I'm able to stay active.

00:01:14 - 00:01:54 | Speaker 3:

Cosentix Secukinumab is prescribed for adults with active psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. Available in both IV infusion and self-injection. Don't use if allergic to Cosentix. Get checked for TB before starting. Increased risk of infections and lowered ability to fight them may occur, like TB or other serious bacterial, fungal, or viral infections. Some were fatal. Tell your doctor if you have an infection or symptoms like fevers, sweats, chills, muscle aches, or cough, had a vaccine or planned to, or if IBD symptoms develop or worsen. Serious allergic reactions and severe eczema-like skin reactions may occur. Learn more at 1-844-COSENTICS or cosentics.com.

00:01:55 - 00:01:59 | Speaker 2:

Move and feel better. Ask a rheumatologist about Cosentix.

It is Mojo in the Morning Show. I want to start off with this. I just was listening to the traffic report that Shannon reported in Detroit, talking about how there's stuff in the road kind of right by the airport in Detroit. Today, I almost witnessed one of the members of the Mojo in the Morning Show get killed walking into the studios. I parked next to our director of social impact. the uh the the lovely and talented bianca and uh we're getting out of our cars in uh walking in together and she's telling me she's like oh my god the cattle truck just drove by and she's like she's focused on the cattle truck driving by and all and we're we're walking out of the parking lot and as we're walking out of the parking lot a u-haul truck that looked like it was like a half semi u-haul truck it said u-haul on the side is driving down the street and it is loud i mean you can hear that thing driving right by us not music but the truck you can hear the truck driving right by us the you the u-haul and bianca just keeps walking and and i go bianca hold on a second she almost walks in front of this this u-haul truck getting killed i swear if it wasn't for

00:03:12 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 3:

mojo i would have been you saved her life and i'm thinking to myself bianca is a college graduate

00:03:20 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 6:

it she's a smart girl you can hear the truck there you can see the truck there it was driving slow like first off it would have hit her driving 10 miles an hour that's how like if you get hit by

00:03:30 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 3:

a 10 mile an hour truck it's your fault i was playing crossy road in eastern market that's what

00:03:35 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 6:

i was doing and then yesterday i gotta tell you guys a story so yesterday i'm driving home from the radio station and this is the time of the year where you got to be careful of creatures in the road and i'm not talking about just deer you got deer you got chickens you got uh turkeys you got uh turtles so i'm driving by my house and a turtle a turtle the size of a freaking nfl football is trying to cross the road why did the turtle cross the road at that time especially it's crossing the road and i see it in the street and i'm driving by going oh man that's going to be unfortunate like you know what i mean like that because he ain't getting out of the way of you

00:04:13 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 1:

know somebody's good years you know and nobody's paying attention someone's gonna be in their phone

00:04:18 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

and that turtle's gonna be mush yeah shell everywhere and i drive on thinking oh boy god you know make the sign of the cross there goes the turtle about a block and a half away my conscience hits me and says okay tom maybe you who is the speed of a turtle could go and get this turtle and help the turtle get outside. I've done this before. We've had turtles before in our house driveway and stuff and I've had to take the turtles and go bring the turtles over to like the woodlands areas that's down the street from my house and let them go and things like that. It's usually not me wanting to. It's usually Chelsea telling me to because the kids want me to. I'm related. Have you ever kept one?

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 3:

No, I don't. First off, I think these turtles probably all have some kind of venereal disease. I don't know.

00:05:05 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 1:

Venereal disease. Sure, we'll go with it on this. Or turtles. Did you know you could get chlamydia from a turtle?

00:05:10 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, or turtle disease. I turn around to go back and get the turtle, all right? So I do a quick U-E to turn around about a block and a half away. Yes, I am an angel, Shannon. Only to find that there is a car, a Ford Escape, with its back end of the car completely trashed because the turtle caused an accident for the person who stopped in the middle of the road to help the turtle and ended up getting rear-ended by the people that weren't paying attention. Could have been you. That could have been me. So let me ask you guys a question. Am I such an angel, or was I the smartest person in the world? I mean, I could have stopped to help that turtle.

00:05:55 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 4:

No, I think you caused it. If you had to stop, if you had to do your final destination, premonition 180, and got off the plane, got the turtle out the road, you could have saved that lady $500 in insurance. Are you serious? Yes. So I caused that woman? Yes, that was your fault.

00:06:08 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 3:

You were supposed to save that turtle. I didn't realize that. I should have probably helped out that lady. I can't believe that I didn't. Did the turtle survive?

00:06:18 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 4:

No, he probably did.

00:06:20 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 3:

The turtle was there looking at the eye.

00:06:23 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 1:

That's all I care about. Don't care about the car. Don't care about you.

00:06:27 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 3:

The turtle was waiting for the Oakland County Sheriff to come as a witness. I've seen the whole thing. Geico, here's what happened in this deal. Rochelle, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. How you doing?

00:06:38 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Mojo. I'm on 94 Westbound, just crossed over Wayne Road. And yeah, there's a bunch of debris all over the road. So they have MDOT and the state police out here. Interesting. Okay.

00:06:47 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 3:

So this is where the cars are getting flat tires and stuff. Rochelle, let me ask you an honest question. I've got to ask you.

00:06:54 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 4:

Go ahead.

00:06:54 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 3:

Am I a turtle lover or a turtle hater because I didn't stop to help the turtle?

00:07:00 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 6:

A turtle hater.

00:07:02 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 3:

A turtle hater. You know, but don't you think I was smart to keep on going?

00:07:07 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 6:

No.

00:07:08 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:07:08 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 6:

Why wouldn't you just stop and take care of it right then and there? Rochelle. Call him out, Rochelle.

00:07:11 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Rochelle, I am not the fleetest afoot. I could lose a race to this turtle. You want me to get killed in the street?

00:07:20 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 6:

No. Okay, look, I missed half the story because I was trying to call in. Okay. But honestly, was there other cars on the road?

00:07:28 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 3:

No. When I drove by, there was nothing. When I drove by, it was actually very quiet on the road.

00:07:34 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 6:

Well, then why wouldn't you just stop and help them real quick?

00:07:36 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 3:

Because, Rochelle, I wanted to get home. I wake up early in the morning. I'm sorry. I'm one of those people that doesn't like to get my nose into other turtles' businesses, you know?

00:07:45 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Jesus.

00:07:47 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 3:

But I did save Bianca. I saved Bianca from getting killed today.

00:07:50 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 6:

I know. Thank you for that one. Okay, well, that's a good thing. That's a good thing.

00:07:54 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 3:

Bianca, would you have saved the turtle? Would you have stopped and helped the turtle?

00:07:58 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but my question is, why was a turtle on the road? I thought turtles only live in the ocean.

00:08:02 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 3:

You said what?

00:08:03 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 2:

I thought turtles only live in the ocean.

00:08:05 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 3:

This is, by the way, why she almost got hit by a U-Haul truck.

00:08:09 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 2:

Are you being serious? No, I thought turtles only live in the ocean. I did not know turtles live on the road. They don't live on the road.

00:08:17 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 4:

Or live on land, boys. You can't get all your information from the ocean.

00:08:20 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

We also don't have oceans around here.

00:08:22 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 2:

I didn't have all your information from Finding Nemo.

00:08:23 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 4:

I knew you was going to say that.

00:08:26 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 3:

By the way, go green.

00:08:27 - 00:08:28 | Unknown:

Yeah. Go white, baby.

00:08:29 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Heather? How you doing?

00:08:32 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my goodness. I'm great. How are you guys?

00:08:34 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 3:

Heather, please ignore Bianca for a second and the turtles in the ocean. What did you want to say?

00:08:39 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 5:

I can't help it. No, like, they live everywhere. Yes. I found out very young, my brother and I, we had a snapping turtle that kept going in the middle of the road. And we found out from a parks ranger that he's going to keep going there because he's either got eggs buried nearby or he's going to move them.

00:08:58 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so don't move them. Then I shouldn't pick them up and move them anywhere. I should let them go where they're going.

00:09:03 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 5:

You can, but it might just go back.

00:09:06 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 3:

How do we know that the turtle wasn't stopping off at the Shell Station to go get a pack of smokes or something, you know?

00:09:11 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 5:

Facts. It could have just needed a blunt to roll up a light.

00:09:16 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, exactly. Smoking turtles. What's up, Amanda? Hi.

00:09:22 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, you guys. Good morning. Morning.

00:09:23 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:09:25 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 1:

Nothing much. I saved a turtle the other day, too. He was out in the middle of the road, so I pulled over, got my FAFO stick out, and kind of booted him over to the side of the road.

00:09:36 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 4:

You play golf with a turtle?

00:09:38 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Did you bring it back to the ocean safely? Quick ticket on the ACA.

00:09:47 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

Thanks for the call, Amanda. We love you. Take care of yourself. We appreciate you so much. All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Hold on. I guess we know where this stuff is coming from that's giving everybody flat.

00:10:00 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 8:

tires nick what's the story hey uh hey first time long today hey you're on the phone nick's on the phone yeah so uh yeah it's a gravel hauler that's hauling a bunch of steel on 94 and the back gate was open and it was like spilling out of there oh man what an idiot so come on how did they not

00:10:25 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 6:

lock that thing up that's crazy that's what i was wondering i wonder what happens to all those people listen who do i sue yeah i wonder who pays for that what you know how do you get your tires fixed because you're going to be going to belt tire and they're going to get a pretty bill with that one thanks oh yeah hey thanks for the call man thanks for the update on that nick uh andy you're a science teacher that wants to teach bianca something here

00:10:51 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 7:

Yes, so tortoises live on land. Turtles live in the ocean. So what you call a turtle. Oh, gee.

00:11:00 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 6:

Hold on.

00:11:01 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 7:

Give me some. Give me some. Go green.

00:11:04 - 00:11:04 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:11:07 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 7:

There's freshwater turtles, too, but.

00:11:10 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 6:

Oh, okay. So half right. So she was kind of half right in that whole thing.

00:11:13 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 7:

So you saw a tortoise on the road, not a turtle. Oh, who's the turtle now? I'm going to give you a little side face in the road, Joe.

00:11:21 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 1:

We've all seen the headlines. Florida man wrestles alligator in a tuxedo or Florida man sues after finding toenails in his ice cream.

00:12:00 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 2:

It's easy to laugh at the meme, but have you ever wondered about the human behind the headline?

00:12:05 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I'm Frankie P.

00:12:18 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 4:

Stop it.

00:12:19 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 5:

Come down.

00:12:19 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 2:
