All right, Mojo on the morning show. Shannon says that there's something about guys that they will not do. And what is that, Shannon?

Go to the doctor. Certain doctors specifically. And I say this because, and you all know how crazy I am about reminding people to go to one, get your mammogram every year, ladies, but also go to the dermatologist once a year to get your skin checked for skin cancer. I went on Monday for my yearly check. I had squamous cell carcinoma removed from both of my legs. It's not fun. And so it's a five minute appointment. Just go see a dermatologist, please, please, please. So Wes knew that I had this appointment on Monday, and he and I were talking about it, and he casually revealed to me that he has never been to a dermatologist, ever. Same. Oh my God, Kevin, do not make me get on YouTube. It's so important, it's such a quick appointment, and in the same breath, though, here's what really bothered me, Wes goes, I'm pretty sure I have cancer. Oh God. he has he has a spot or spots that don't look right and so he said i i'm pretty sure i'm like you know that you think that yet you will not go to the doctor why why is it and he goes i don't want to stand there naked while some doctor just inspects my i'm who cares it's a doctor it's not

a guy just a guy thing because we have a lot of women that are listening to the show i guarantee you don't go to the doctor and one of them i have to force my wife to go to a doctor but then there's the opposite chelsea thinks that i like going to the doctor too much like she thinks that i'm like hyper you know crazy about going to the doctor and i call you know better safe than sorry though having a friend like dr warner having mark as a friend you know i'll talk to him all the time oh man i woke up this morning and mark is very attentive to all of his patients yeah so he'll be like well you should do this this and i'm like why not you know what i mean see but truly why

not it's that's your life it's your body i feel like men don't like going to the doctor and women don't like going to the dentist some of these yuck moms i love going i didn't see i think i think for me personally it was ignorance and still is ignorance about the dermatologist i thought people just go there because they had acne i thought it was just like a facial type of thing

you go get checked up well you know a lot of times that's your first time that you ever go because your parents will take you or maybe when you're younger or something or you might have something on you. But like the Shannon thing, you know, and I think there are some people that are predetermined to have a lot more issues when it comes to skin cancer.

I wasn't. I just, I remember shaving my legs. This is before I got laser hair removal. And I kept nicking this spot on my leg. And so I'm like, I think it was my ex-husband who said, you need to go get that checked out because that looks funky.

and sure as spit it was skin cancer is it do you have i know you had had there is it been in other spots your body both times i had it removed on my leg because i know people like that are outdoors all day and they're in the sun and stuff and they like never will get checked out but then they don't seem to have any issues at all with it though and that's what made me so crazy about

my husband because he knows that there's potentially something up and he still will not. I said, I'm going to make that appointment for you. I'm going to be that wife. I don't care. I even told my doctor, shout out to Dr. Lindsay Sklar. She's the best. I said, you will be seeing my husband in a few weeks because I'm going to make an appointment for him. I don't

care. But some people smoke two packs a day and they're fine and they're 80.

And other people get, like, emphysema when they're 22. Like, there's just no telling. Go to the damn doctor! They did a study, and men who have daughters live longer, and it's because we make you go to the doctor.

Oh, really?

Yeah.

That's interesting.

74 weeks longer. That's a whole extra year of life.

But you don't take any of the life away from them when they have to, like, chase you around?

That's funny, though, because the mother study on that, on sons and daughters, is how much life they remove from your lifespan. From moms? It was very interesting.

My dad said dance recitals removed years from his life.

You know what also is interesting? You ever notice with the person that is like the oldest person ever, they always do the interview with them, and you're like, here's this 120-year-old lady. I'm doing Dr. Pepper. Yeah, he's right.

You just got to live a crazy life. be crazy and for some reason you don't end up dying out of the deal um well we're gonna have to have a little conversation with uh with wesley we're gonna have to talk he's actually coming in in a couple of minutes because he's gonna work from from the studio so you just wait wait how long how long will he be here uh for because maybe we can have a doctor come down and play

and that's the problem nowadays too is a lot of people can't get appointments too with doctors

My husband just died of brain cancer. He never went to the doctor for two and a half years. Jesus. Oh, my goodness gracious.

no i even tried to make an appointment for him because he had a headache and he wouldn't go

man so so he he had prior to that gone to the doctor but didn't go for two and a half years while he was in pain or no never went to the doctor ever two and a half years ago he almost died of a heart attack geez and that wasn't an eye opener for him that wasn't something that that gave him a, you know, okay, I got to take care of myself? Man, that's sad. How are you holding up, Cheryl?

I'm holding up pretty good. Living day by day.

Well, we're sorry about that. It's got to be tough. It's got to be very, very tough. You take care of yourself.

well you know what if you're in you guys are parents you got kids uh well he was my second

marriage so uh i have kids from a different gentleman and he had other he had kids from

another person too yeah because that's the thing it's like i i always feel like that is the part that i just don't want to miss out on their life you know so taking care of them and i know how wes is as a dad it's like you don't want you take care of yourself what's up uh melissa wants to

stick up for wes what's up i'm just i'm i'm now in america as well but in canada you don't see specialists like to see a dermatologist you have to have like something super wrong then you're waiting like another six to eight months to even get in and they'll only see you for specific

like detail why do they talk about how canada's health care is like better than ours but they

don't do that this man has lived here for two decades okay so the Canadian knows the American way that is not an excuse anymore well guess who's that Canadian passport like he still did no are you

are you gonna be like mom and take him there like you know I go to dr. Reynolds our orthodontist and I go get my sparks and stuff I'm the only person in there without a mother sitting next to them for an appointment, and so I wonder if that's going to be like you with Wes.
