Oh, my God. I actually want to specifically say something to Smith's teacher, Heidi. I am a good mom. I swear, we do own a coat and gloves and a hat and socks. but i don't understand why my kids smith specifically think that cold weather clothing is optional when it's six freaking degrees outside i am mortified they never wear their coats ever i don't get it i i picked up normal okay what i picked up smith i picked up both kids from school early yesterday because i had to take them to the dentist and why dentist appointments are during school hours and not in the evening still blows my mind but that's a Totally different topic. And I roll up to the school. The kids come into the office and Smith is wearing a T-shirt, sweatpants, slip-on Uggs with ankle socks and nothing else. And I'm like, dude, where's your coat? In my backpack. Where's your hat and gloves? In my backpack. I'm like, why aren't you wearing actual socks and you're wearing slippers to school? And he's like, mm. I go, there's like snow coming down outside and they just don't care.

It is winter. It's winter. Hello. Oh, it's winter. Then you ask them to grab their stuff and put it on when you go outside for recess. And they say that they don't have it. But then you find out from the parents, they actually do.

I'm so embarrassed as a mom, too. And I posted about this on Instagram yesterday. And I had a bunch of teachers like yourself, Brianna, that DM'd me and said they had several kids show up wearing shorts yesterday.

that dress like that or not dress like that no because i'm not gullible so i know the kids have them but they just fight it and they don't want to wear it so if they get cold i guess it's on them right yeah also it's their dad's week to have them so

well you know what i i always wondered when the kids would come home where their coats were and a lot of times they were at school because they left with coats they lose them there that lost and found must have more north face uh columbia do you know that smith left his coat

if he had a canada goose jacket oh my god smith left his coat at school for the entire winter break so he he left like the his big warm coat was at school we had no coat for him wow so i made him wear one of mine i was like you will never do that again uh what are your kids dressed in right

now look at them right now okay you're in you're in the car with them or you're you know getting ready to have them run out will you tell us if your kids have clothes on for god's sakes uh and if you want me to talk to them about wearing a coat i'm going to talk to them this is where uh This is where Uncle Mojo's coming in. I just don't understand. How are they not cold? I know. I'm freezing. It's the craziest thing to me. It's about being cool. Do you know the other night when Luke and I were out, Luke did not want to wear a coat. We were going to a football game, and he didn't want to wear a coat. I told him to. He literally looked over at me as we were shivering, walking into the sink. He goes, thanks, Dad, for telling me to wear a coat. For some reason, they think they look cooler without him. See, my thing is, like, I don't, a coat at a Lions game is like, bro, where am I supposed to put it? I'm not about to wear a football game. Walking in and out of that place.

it was cold what's up amber hi hi so she and i have nothing to feel bad about at all like kids are just savage little gangsters and will wear whatever the aspect they want to wear so i no longer die on this hill so my older three have taught me that like they would only wear shorts and t-shirts so this morning my 12 year old i dropped him off to school in his uniformed Shorts and polo t-shirts. No jacket, no sweatshirt, no nothing, no nothing. And when we went to the Lions game on Sunday, he was so mad at me that I actually made him wear jeans and bring a coat. He's like, I'm going to sweat. I don't care. I'm tired of people looking at me like, because I'm bundled.

Hello. Good morning, guys. Good morning. Hey. This is on the phone. I have two boys, and my oldest, I learned the hard way to not fight the battle. He would wear shorts, no coat. He'd come home. Everything would be missing. My youngest is now 14. He is going to school in his easy slides. He has to walk through snow to get from the bus stop to our house. And I say, like, why are you wearing shoes? You have boots. You have, you know, all the appropriate things. He's like, who cares? They just get wet.

Oh, geez.

It's 20 degrees outside. I know. It's crazy. He's the last comfortable to know. It's not hard. But you got to pick and choose your battles, I've learned, because they're going to do what they want regardless.

Asked him to look in his backpack. It's not there. Miraculously, I look. It's there. And luckily for him, I work at the school he goes to, and I get to catch him every day at recess. make sure he puts it on i was gonna absolutely absolutely i was gonna ask you do the teachers

nice coats and just bring them home to your kids um you know that's so funny because before break we had an announcement over the speaker and they said if you guys you need to look one more time come in come and look and if not we're donating it so i was like hey uh is it can is this like a lost and found donation can we look yeah absolutely some of the clothes some of the clothes have been there for since the school started that's amazing yeah it's insane yeah but it was it was it was right on cue guys i appreciate you love you take care of yourself

yes what's up i'm uh i was just saying um it's because of like the new car seat regulations where, like, you can't put a coat on your baby because it's unsafe. I'm 21, and I don't wear a coat, and I only wear a sweatshirt anywhere I go, even in, like, negative-degree weather.

So you're thinking that this is learned behavior because of the car seats? Is that true? You can't put a kid?

You're not supposed to.

So are the kids supposed to freeze in the car or what?

You're just supposed to put it on them after you take them out from the straps of the car seat.

Why wouldn't the car seat people make a car seat?
