as you start talking. Okay. So there is a guy at the Jack's that I, I go to one of two locations, you know, every couple of days. And there's a guy at the, at this particular one that I see all the time. He is a fan of the show. If he happens to be outside when I'm going through and getting my ticket, my receipt, he will always come up and say hi. He's always very pleasant. Over the weekend, I was waiting in line to go through and get my plate scanned to go into the car wash. I see him. He comes up and he knocks on my window, says hi, makes a comment to me about how many people were in line to get their car washed on this particular day and then he looks at me with this very perplexed face and he said did you do something and I'm like huh and he said you look different and I'm like okay well I wasn't wearing any makeup I had my wet hair pulled back into a ponytail and I had just woken up from a nap so I said to him well no I'm I'm not wearing any makeup I didn't do my hair today and I just woke up from a nap and he didn't get in the dryness of my voice that he probably shouldn't have said you look really different did you do something because it was not a compliment whatsoever it was just that awkward pause of me going no yeah didn't do anything different I'm just not wearing any makeup today so

you're saying i look hideous i totally get it yeah or when guys are like not feeling well today and it's like nope just didn't put on mascara but thanks thanks to know that you think i look sickly

do you think do you think though that that's a that's a negative though i think because i i think that there are times did you do something no did you do something today like you because he's not saying like you did you do something you look horrible he's doing something like you look great

I took it as you look horrible because I knew that I looked horrible.

Really? Yeah. Honestly, if you looked horrible, I think that most people, especially guys, would be smart enough to know you don't say anything when somebody doesn't look this. You would hope.

I don't know. So here's adding insult to injury. Later that same night, Wes and I went out to dinner with some friends. And I ended up getting a DM after I got home. I was scrolling through Instagram in bed and I got a DM from a listener who saw us out and she, part of her message to me, she was like, oh, I saw you in West. I didn't want to bother you guys and say hi and come over to your table, whatever. And I think she was trying to, to pay a compliment, which I very much appreciate, but it came off as me. It, she, I'll tell you what she wrote. She wrote, FYI, you look 10 times better in real life. I like that. Very, very nice thing to say, except then I'm going, do I look freaking hideous?

It's so rude. It's a compu-sol. I don't know. It's an absolute compu-sol. It's like, oh, by the way, I expected you to be uglier in person. So I wrote her back. I'm like, oh, thank you.

Do you think both of these are tied into each other? Because both people met you in person. Do you think both of these?

Well, the one guy I see all the time. I see him at least once a week. I don't think, I don't believe I've ever met this lady before.

Because can I say something? Yeah. And I don't think that you use this, but some people do use them. I don't think that the filters that Instagram has or sometimes Snap has, I think when women use them and they think they look better in those filters, I don't think you look better in filters.

Oh, I've used a filter or two, trust me. I love color correcting.

But I think that filters sometimes make some women look too done up, like they have too much going on. And I think that for sure, they're telling you in person, that's to me that the person

I guess I should have thought of that one differently, but I read it and I looked at Wes. I'm like, no, I think he read that one fine. I think that one's fine.

I've had people, I've had people say to me, they'll, they'll say, oh my God, why do you talk about how big you are? And they'll see me in person and they'll say, you know, you're not, you're not fat and stuff. And I always look at that and go, God, that's such a compliment. It's so, it's so wonderful when people will say something.

But that's not the same as what's happening here. I actually agree with you on that one, Mojo, but I don't think that's what's happening with Shannon with these comments.

It's not, oh, you said that you were so short and you're actually 5'10". It's not, oh, you said you were so fat, but you're actually skinny. It's you look better in person.

The lady at the restaurant, I'm like, that actually is a compliment, except it just made me feel very self-conscious about, and I'm a self-conscious person anyway, you know, what our social media is. I don't know.

Well, it also could be that they're looking at some of our videos and stuff like that.

Oh, we all look like ogres in our videos.
