00:02:54 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 2:

you too be careful if you're uh driving around and there's a lot of fog out there be careful a lot of schools by the way just got some alerts from some schools that just said that they're doing uh late starts on schools because they want to wait till the fog all uh you know blows over they're saying that now in in is it as foggy in grand rapids and toledo as it is in the detroit

00:03:17 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 4:

area right now or no i don't think so no it's a little foggy yeah it's a little foggy this morning

00:03:22 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 2:

It's really bad in the Detroit area. They're saying that it's not going to burn off until like 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Yeah. That's a long time.

00:03:30 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 5:

We're under a dense fog advisory until then. Was it foggy when you guys came in? I can't really see outside. Was it foggy when you guys came in?

00:03:35 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 3:

Couldn't see more than 25 feet ahead of the car.

00:03:38 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 2:

Here's the gist of this, that two-hour delays for many Detroit area schools. So check that your schools possibly are going to have a little bit of a delay to start today for some of the schools that are going back today for their very first day of school. All right. It is the Mojo in the Morning show. We were talking about who's going to have a baby on the show and who will have it first. Well, we do know this. There is somebody that's going to be having a baby on the show, and that is Mike. He made the announcement towards the end of this past year that he and Allie are having a baby, that they're pregnant right now with number three. I even checked in with you to see how's the pregnancy been for Allie

00:04:24 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 4:

it's a lot harder than the first she was blessed we were blessed to have I don't know how you're supposed to say that to have an easier pregnancy on the first two it's a little harder the first trimester she was pretty sick this one she's very very tired and she's also got

00:04:45 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 2:

she's also got kids that she's running around after and she's working and everything yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:04:50 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 4:

Is she craving anything in particular? Oh, my. I had to go in the middle of that snowstorm. I had to go to Meyers because she wanted mayonnaise. Oh, really? We don't have mayo in that. She doesn't even like mayo, but she wanted just a mayonnaise sandwich. And so I had to go to the store and get her. That's funny.

00:05:07 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 3:

Really? Is it like mayonnaise or is it like that real? Like miracle.

00:05:12 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 4:

Uh-uh.

00:05:13 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 3:

Real mayonnaise. Like Hellman's. I love that. I feel like I need that, too. Do you guys know what the sex of the baby is? Have you guys figured that out? Or didn't you say you were waiting?

00:05:25 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 4:

So, yeah, that's the idea. We have a boy and a girl. So we decided that we're just going to wait till the baby's born and not find out the gender. But she has an appointment on Friday that I can't make it to. And we kind of wanted our daughter to go to it, too. So she's kind of a part of this all. And so she's going just for the ultrasound just to check on things. And she tells me that she's not going to find out the sex of the baby. But we've also been struggling with names. Like, I can't figure out what no name seems to fit. and I think it was easier when we knew what the gender of the baby was and then you got to buy the stuff and like the clothes and the other stuff that you're just kind of stuck right now not being able to get any of those things or figure out a name until we know the gender and I have a sneaky suspicion that she's going to go to this and she's going to find it out and not tell me the gender of the baby. She'll know. Well, her and Cess will know then. Yes.

00:06:25 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

You think Cess could keep that a secret?

00:06:28 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I don't think so.

00:06:30 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 5:

I'm always surprised how many couples, like, somebody will go find out and not tell the other person. Because I don't know how you keep that secret once it's there.

00:06:38 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 4:

I see. And I think she knew with Milo, too. Because if we go back to the gender reveal, we're not doing that this year, but if we go back to the gender reveal, she wore blue for it. And I was convinced she knew then. I think she's going to find out, and she's just not going to tell me.

00:06:52 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 1:

Who didn't want to find out this time? Was that both of you guys, or were you pulling for it harder? No, it was both of us. Okay.

00:06:58 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I think we've hit a point, though, of no name. We've even started using a baby app that tells you baby names. So it generates a bunch of baby names based on your— It's like Tinder, but for baby names. What a great idea.

00:07:13 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 1:

That is a great idea.

00:07:15 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 4:

We're both connected to this app, and then we swipe left or right if we like the name, and we can't get any of them to match.

00:07:21 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I hope she doesn't find out, because it is so fun to be surprised. It really is.

00:07:25 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 3:

Are there any listeners that have found out and didn't tell their husband or baby daddy that they knew the sex of the baby, that they kind of kept that? 844-MOJO-LIVE. I've always been under the belief that women always find out, and they just don't tell their guy, and then they keep it sacred.

00:07:45 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 1:

I really never did.

00:07:46 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 5:

Third shift's heading home. Maybe you can call if you work at a hospital and tell us if you ever witnessed a fight over people finding out, and they weren't supposed to find out.

00:07:53 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 4:

Did you guys all find out? for your kids? No.

00:07:57 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 3:

We did. Yeah.

00:07:58 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

I could never not find out. The people who say that they didn't find out and they waited until the birth, I think you guys are crazy. Like, I don't have it in me to not know what's going... Maybe it's because I'm so, like, anal about everything, but I would have to know.

00:08:15 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 5:

Well, it'd be easier to decorate and prep for the baby to come.

00:08:19 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 3:

You're also the person that will sneak and look at what your gifts are before Christmas.

00:08:22 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, 100%.

00:08:24 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 3:

100 percent i i by the way i love the there's a couple of other funny things that mike said too that app is great you know it's kind of like tinder but i wonder how many people have gone to tinder to find a uh a name like because isn't it funny when you're pregnant you'll look at names of everything you'll be reading something online you're so aware yeah you see names like somebody calls out a name at a starbucks for a coffee order you know you're like oh okay well hold on saying and uh so you kind of look at all those different names 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 text 95500 586 says i work at a uh i work for a doctor and we do ultrasounds out ultrasounds and you will be surprised how many women will say can i find out the sex but do not tell my husband on the next visit yeah i knew it so mike you better be but wait if she's bringing did you say that cecily's

00:09:19 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 4:

going on the the office visit yeah they don't let her go into the they don't let kids go into that ultrasound room so they don't know oh that stinks yeah so she'll record i think she's gonna record a video but she gets to be there you know what i mean i think that was the oh they should

00:09:34 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 3:

just let her in because i was gonna say do you think would you be bummed if two women in your life kept that secret from you um ash what's going on it's mojo in the morning

00:09:44 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Hi, Mojo in the morning. How are you guys doing? Good morning. Love your accent. I'm from England.

00:09:51 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 3:

Nice to have you on the show. What are you calling?

00:09:53 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 1:

Again.

00:09:55 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, when I had my second son, I found out I was having a...

00:10:00 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 3:

a baby a little boy and it was fun keeping it from my husband and teasing him and stuff like that so we had a bit of a laugh at that time but i'd like to tell you something a little bit more interesting why i i found out uh my mom who was uh dying at the time told me i was having a little boy so she said i'm having a little boy she told me i was pregnant really wow after visiting her at the hospital. I did a pregnancy test, and I found out I was pregnant, and then I had a little boy. Oh, my goodness. Now, did your mom always have, like, this ability?

00:10:36 - 00:10:37 | Unknown:

She

00:10:37 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 3:

did, but she didn't flaunt it much, you know, especially when she knew deaths were happening. She always told me afterwards that, hey, I knew that was going to happen or, you know, but she was a bit of a matchmaker, too, so she did a lot of matchmaking in our community, and she was very spiritual. She meditated every day so i think she had the ability but she didn't use it much because she was just a bit aware of what the community would sort of say that is fascinating ridicule her or whatever you know so

00:11:06 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 2:

yeah thank you ash you're welcome thank you for the call you too molly hi it's mojo in the morning hi how are you good you found out accidentally yeah i found out accidentally because i was

00:11:21 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 4:

checking to see if the results had come in because i was doing a gender reveal and i just wanted to know if the results were in but i wasn't supposed to look at them so i was looking at them and i seen that it was a boy um and i wanted a girl so i'm kind of glad i found out earlier but i knew his dad he really wanted a boy so i kept it from him for a couple weeks until the gender reveal

00:11:44 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow.

00:11:44 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 4:

And when he found out, he cried. Oh.

00:11:48 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 2:

But was everybody upset, though, that you knew ahead of time, or did you not tell them that you knew?

00:11:54 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 4:

I, for the most part, didn't tell people. Good. I told my mom because my mom wanted to know when she found out I knew, but everybody else, I pretty much kept it a secret. Wow.

00:12:03 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 2:

See, Mike, they keep secrets.

00:12:05 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 4:

Right. But the dad, he knew I knew, and he thought it was a girl.

00:12:10 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh. Yeah. Thank you for the call. Mallory, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:12:16 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. So when I was pregnant, I found out in like October, and we were going Black Friday shopping. And I was determined to find out. And my family is huge advocates for not finding out. So my family paid me off with buying my stuff when we went shopping, buying me a crockpot and a vacuum to bribe me not to find out what I was having.

00:12:40 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 3:

That's what I should do.

00:12:41 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 5:

So I got a crock pot and a vacuum, and I did not find out what we were having until he was born. And we're in the room. We had a C-section, and we're in the room, and three minutes goes by, and my husband said, would you just tell us what it is? And they said, oh, my gosh, we forgot. Nobody does that anymore.

00:13:01 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

00:13:02 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 5:

So then, you know, it took them a while to tell us the gender of our baby at the time because they said everybody finds out now, and they just forgot that we didn't tell them.

00:13:10 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

00:13:10 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 2:

um katie what's up katie can tell us by the way for you mike how you can spot the sex of the baby you better be careful if you look at your ultrasound picture what's up katie yeah um hi

00:13:23 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 1:

i'm in your voices guys by the way yes i'm in the starbucks drive-thru they're probably going to look at me like i'm crazy as i tell the story um so i'm oldest of four three girls the baby's a boy my mom never found out what any of the sexes were until the youngest which was a boy because she said it was very easy to spot the penis after having three girls yeah especially no i wouldn't

00:13:53 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 2:

really know when you get these later appointments sometimes it's just glaringly obvious aren't there a lot of false uh you know boy things though because a lot i talked to somebody that works and does, you know, ultrasounds. And they said that a lot of times people will just assume that's a penis or think like that, and they say it's not. There's something else on there.

00:14:16 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 1:

No, she said it was clear as day. Really? It was clear as day. That lucky little kid. Right. It was a boy. She held the secret. She held the secret. She didn't tell any of us or, you know.

00:14:31 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Now that kid's the most popular kid in his class. Well, thank you. That's gross. I know. I'm just kidding. Thank you for the call. We appreciate it. Penises are gross, too.
