This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:06 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 2:

My name is Medterica, Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

00:01:51 - 00:01:58 | Speaker 5:

But the fire is so delightful. We're supposed to get snow this week. They're saying that we might have snow flurries on Thursday, I think it is. They're saying that we could get rain mixed with a little snane. Snow mixed with rain. What's the latest snowfall that we've ever gotten? Latest? Let's see. Latest snowfall.

00:02:40 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 7:

Have we ever had a winter without any snow?

00:02:43 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. That's a good point. Hold on. Let me go back. I mean, look. As long as it snows on Christmas, I'll be good.

00:02:49 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 7:

I know. Love a good one.

00:02:51 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 6:

Do the Googles.

00:02:52 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 7:

I hate looking outside on Christmas morning and seeing grass. Yeah. Dead grass is so depressing. Can't celebrate the birth of Jesus that way.

00:03:00 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 9:

I know what it is for Toledo.

00:03:02 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 7:

What is it for Toledo?

00:03:02 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 9:

The average first snowfall of one inch or more typically occurs on November 29th. Next week.

00:03:09 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 6:

Is it as disappointing as not having a date in a while when you don't have a lot of snow? Like, think about that.

00:03:16 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 7:

What's worse, Megan?

00:03:18 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 6:

Zero. Why do you say Megan? No, because she's... Let's go to our official meteorologist on that.

00:03:24 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 8:

Because she is single, and also she loves the winter. Yeah. So I would have her choose. I would bet her choosing snow.

00:03:33 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 6:

Really?

00:03:34 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, because I think, first of all, I love the holiday season because generally people are just nicer. They're more patient. They're kinder. Everything's a little bit more slow-paced, and I think our world is too fast. So I love the holidays because everything just kind of pushes on the brakes a little bit. So when you don't have snow, people don't get into the mindset. And then that mentality, like, does not come fast enough.

00:03:57 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 6:

You're right. Yeah. I don't know. I think I would. I think I'd rather not have snow, but get some some some loving. You know what I mean? I mean, she just said it doesn't come fast enough. Hey, we're talking first date.

00:04:12 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 7:

That's right. There's a difference.

00:04:14 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 6:

OK, how about how about how about this one? Hold on. I saw this story this morning. I thought this was interesting. Speaking of the weather and genitalia, have you guys ever heard of winter penis? No.

00:04:28 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 7:

What is that? I read this article, man.

00:04:30 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 6:

What is winter penis?

00:04:31 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 7:

Is this like Seinfeld? It was cold. It was cold that night.

00:04:34 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

Doctors warn men that they may be about to suffer difficulties in the bedroom due to weather-related affliction known as winter penis. The phenomenon describes how males' genitals shrink when the temperature drops outside. Find your penis for a dollar. Find your penis. One dollar. One dollar. Find your penis. Find your penis here.

00:04:59 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

This is not new.

00:05:00 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 1:

information as a result of restricted blood flow in certain areas not only does this lead to the size reduction of up to 50 percent oh no you have a little penis the reduced blood flow to the area also makes it more challenging for men to maintain an erection micro penis uh micro penis really

00:05:23 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 2:

But that's a real medical thing.

00:05:26 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 1:

The problem happens because the body prioritizes blood flow to more important areas, like parts of the body that might be cold, like sometimes your internal organs. While most men who experience winter penis find it only occurs briefly and occasionally, yeah, right, only briefly and occasionally, It may be far worse for those with underlining erection dysfunction or ED. Can I ask you a erectile dysfunction? Can I ask you a quick question about this? Do women in the cold, like, do your guys' – tell us about your vaginas, ladies. No, it's not – Do your vaginas have a different sensitivity when the weather changes? No. What makes your vagina more sensitive or less sensitive?

00:06:21 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 2:

It doesn't hang externally. It's in the same place.

00:06:25 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 1:

Okay, but the weather doesn't change your vagina at all? Cold weather doesn't change your vagina? Children do.

00:06:34 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to go with that one. Children. I smell children. Menopause.

00:06:39 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 1:

I feel weird asking this question of you guys. Let me call my wife and ask her about her vagina. Oh, my God. I want to ask her. She's going to hang up on you, and I hope she does. No, no. She'll be fine. This is a medical thing that we're doing. This is a medical segment.

00:06:52 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 2:

Chelsea, I'm sorry.

00:06:53 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 1:

Chelsea, we're doing a medical segment on the show right now.

00:06:56 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 2:

It's okay to hang up. Okay.

00:06:58 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

Hey, quick question. Does your vagina have a different sensitivity to cold weather as it does to warm weather?

00:07:07 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 2:

No, just to you.

00:07:12 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 1:

But honestly, no, seriously, I know that that's a funny joke. They all laugh. That was a joke, right?

00:07:21 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 2:

I don't know, was it?

00:07:23 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 1:

But does your, does the, as I bring you to the air here, and I'm asking all the women on the show to participate if they would like to, it's up to you. I don't want to get sued.

00:07:34 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 2:

Your vagina just tried to bite me.

00:07:36 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 1:

Does your vagina, though, react differently? Because we just talked about winter penis, and both Cav and myself have experienced winter penis before. Right, Cav? Yeah. That's a real thing. In the winter, our penis doesn't seem as big.

00:07:51 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay.

00:07:53 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:07:54 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

Well, I don't think that that affects women.

00:07:59 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 1:

It doesn't affect women. So the temperature doesn't change it for you.

00:08:02 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 2:

No.

00:08:03 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Well, then good. You got no excuse tonight. I'll see you later tonight, honey. See, I set it right up for that one, Kevin. Wasn't that a good one? You did not do it, though. By the way, an all-male crowd. It's always interesting with only half of the room. Yeah, see that? We laughed just as hard as they laughed at the joke that Chelsea said. All right, Chelsea. That's true. That's true. I love you. I'll talk to you later. And I love your penis. I love your vagina. Oh, my God. I love your vagina. Either one is. No. I love it. Marquis. Erica, are you there?

00:08:43 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 2:

I'm here.

00:08:44 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 1:

Erica, we're talking about...

00:08:45 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 2:

I just wanted to suggest a name change on this phenomenon. It should be called Winter Wiener. Yeah, you're right. Where's that alliteration?

00:08:52 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 1:

That is a fantastic name. Thank you.

00:08:54 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 2:

You need that alliteration. You're welcome.

00:08:56 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 1:

What do we call winter vagina, though? Is there anything to that?

00:09:01 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man, I wasn't prepared for that question. I'll have to think on it and call you back.

00:09:04 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 1:

I can't believe that if men's penises are different... Because women's vaginas also deal with blood flow, too. Why would it not be...

00:09:13 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 2:

It doesn't. You know, the ladies are fully functional regardless of the weather.

00:09:18 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 1:

So doesn't blood flow, though, affect your vagina?

00:09:22 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I guess. It's an internal organ.

00:09:26 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 1:

So is a penis, though.

00:09:27 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

No, it's not.

00:09:28 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 1:

My penis is, yes. It's not an external just because it sticks out, Megan. It doesn't.

00:09:36 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 2:

Wait. That's exactly what makes it external. Exactly. Thank you. No. I truly sometimes think I'm losing my mind around you.

00:09:43 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 1:

But it's covered up, though. You don't think you can get cold down there? You don't ever get cold down there?

00:09:49 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 2:

I've never been outside in the snow with my bare vagina.

00:09:53 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

If you're outside with a pair of, like, I see you guys wear them all the time, Lululemons or leggings.

00:10:00 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 7:

I see you guys with them. They're not keeping you fully warm inside, are they? That area is usually very warm. Is it? Yeah. It's between your legs. Well, then why don't you let us all come in to warm up? Why are we left outside? Oh, Lord.

00:10:18 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 6:

Are you okay? No. I'll answer. Yeah, we heard it.

00:10:28 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 7:

Jason, what's going on? Jason, how you doing?

00:10:31 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 8:

Hey, I'm doing pretty well, Mojo. Not super surprised you're not aware of what happens down there.

00:10:36 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 7:

Come on, stop it. I'm just saying. Are you thinking that the same thing, you weren't thinking the same thing I was thinking, that women also can be faced with, you know?

00:10:45 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 8:

I think I apparently have fewer questions than you do. Oh, come on. I did want to put it out there, though, that winter is officially micro-penis awareness season.

00:10:56 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, we got our month. But, baby, it's cold.

00:11:00 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 7:

I did not know that. Let's all have a party. Can we have a micro penis party?

00:11:05 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 8:

Actually, I have a request. I wanted to know if I could write a song for you. Not on the spot, but I'll text it back in. Okay. Walking with a winterina man.

00:11:15 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 7:

Fantastic. I love it. Hey, look. Hey, Hannah said what we should title ladies' vaginas in the wintertime. What's that? Christmas coochie. Oh, there you go. What's up, Keith? How you doing?

00:11:34 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 8:

I went to school. Oh, no. All right. So ladies, hear me out. So say you get turned on, you know, it's, you know, I don't like where this is going. You got to dump that.

00:11:47 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 7:

That was inappropriate, but also, nobody's going to try, but it does make me. Is that Miracle of 30? No, no, no. It's a Christmas story. Zach be gentle with that I'm not going to get to see her in the building What's up Tia how you doing It's Mojo in the morning

00:12:05 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 6:

00:12:10 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 6:

I am in my car dying right now Just so you guys know I know people driving by are like what is she laughing But even though we don't have this problem I think it should be called winter waffle

00:12:22 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 7:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:13:39 - 00:14:24 | Speaker 2:

Alan Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year yet. I don't think I was mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first day I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great. You know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits. So I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me to be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be. And I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, as of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department. and I've already got a job shadow before and hopefully I will end the ship over the summer. If you choose Bishop, we're welcome to have you any day.
