So this past weekend, I was sitting outside of some government buildings in Toledo. And as I was sitting there, I was going through my phone. I was trying to figure out the address of the next place I was trying to be. I was late for an appointment and, um, I couldn't find the address. I couldn't find the address and I was getting super frustrated and I hear this tapping noise on my window, which just, I'm sorry, aggravates the hell out of me. Like if you see somebody sitting alone in the car and you knock on the window, you're a terrible person, period, point blank. You scared the crap out of me. I don't like being scared. Um, but it was actually a young guy. He was, I'm so bad at ages. If I had to guess his age, he was anywhere between 18 and like 21. I don't know, somewhere in there. And he knocked on my window and I rolled it down. I go, hey, what's going on? And he goes, I need a ride home. And immediately I'm like, no, buddy, I'm sorry. No, I'm not going to give you a ride home. I'm sitting alone in my car. I have no idea who you are. I'm not going to allow you into my vehicle to give you a ride home. It's not going to happen. I said, I'm really sorry. I'm running late for, I didn't say that to him, by the way, I'm nicer than that. But I said to him, I'm late for this appointment. I'm trying to figure out where I'm going. Can I Venmo you some money to call an Uber? And he said, my phone is that I can't call an Uber. I can't give you a ride home because that feels so unsafe. I cannot give you money to get a ride home. Like, there's nothing I can do. And he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. And I thought about this all weekend, all weekend, that it was cold outside. He was a young dude, whatever. But in my mind, I could not give you a ride. I'm with you. I wouldn't have either.
