I can only imagine that Driving is just really bad This morning so there's probably a lot of issues Here but there's certain things that you can Do and you cannot do I want my wife to know this I was paying attention to the road I was so scared Driving in today It was really slick She gets mad at me I ended up buying this thing Where I could put my phone like right there On the dashboard thinking that it was Going to make it safer for me To not have like my phone down

So you had to keep picking it up and looking at it.

Well, now she says I sit there and I look at it nonstop.

I see the screen nonstop. Yeah, it could have the other adverse effects. I got that from my daughter. Now I'm afraid with the phone right into her, she's going to be looking at it too often. I also think that you should drive my car for a day because the Kia warns you. If it notices your eyes looking down, if you're looking at your phone or something, it'll tell you. Like, does it really keep your eyes on the road? How does it do that?

Does it tap you on your seat?

No, it chimes. It makes a little ding. And then where the speedometer is in the dashboard, it says, you know, keep your eyes on the road. Where the what is?

I've never heard anybody call it a speedometer. A speedometer? Yeah. Speedometer. Honestly, it was very, like, proper.

Well, I know why they invented it. If you're doing a road trip and you're getting sleepy, it detects if your eyes are starting to droop or close or you're looking down. If you fall asleep, it'll start vibrating the steering wheel. But it's also like, hey, I'm just looking at my Google Maps real quick. Don't snitch on me. Does it show you that cup of coffee, too, where it's like, you should have a cup of coffee. Yes, it says maybe you should pull over and take a break. Wait, does it really? A little coffee cup.

It's like having a little friend in the car with you.

It is, but a naggy friend.

But you could probably turn it off.

I think all those alerts you can. I've been looking for it. I still haven't found it. You know what, though?

I can't. I have all my warnings on the way that they set them up at Gordon Chevrolet, and I know the moment that I change the setting, I'm going to get into an accident.

I really think that the self-driving cars, the autonomous cars, would be a great idea for me, especially when we move downtown and my commute becomes 52 minutes and I'm driving at 4 a.m. to go down to Eastern market. Like I would have that car drive me nonstop. Yeah.

Because in your case, it would definitely be safe. Yeah. And every time that one of those gets in an accident, they make big headlines about unsafe, these autonomous driving cars. yeah, I'm like, how many regular car accidents do we have in that same day by humans making dumb human errors? If they gave us the accident reports on people named Betty driving in a car, I guarantee you that people named Betty was higher than a Tesla autonomous car.

Let me tell you something I saw yesterday. And tell me if I'm out of line, because I'm not one to shame people for living their life, especially moms. But I saw something on the way home yesterday that really bothered me. Tell me, is this wrong or right to say moms shouldn't be breastfeeding?

looked over at the car next to me at the red light and it was clear that a mom was nursing her newborn like she was repositioning the baby and putting a towel over her shoulder and i could clearly see the baby's head and then the light turned green and she just drove next to me for the next five minutes and i'm like whoa with the baby in her that is so dangerous yeah because that baby's got to be in a car seat and and i believe listen i get it when you're losing your mind because the baby won't stop screaming and but you got to pull over a nurse for the

we noticed the baby's still latched on and you're going 30 miles i mean i used to pump when i was

right like but i would set up i hurt anybody i set up my pump like here in the parking lot right and i would like attach it to my boobs and turn it on and you can do it now where it's you don't even have to use your hands like there's a bra that you just like stick the pumps into it i would do that all the time i'm sure truckers got like a yeah you know a really a good look whatever and

mine called the cops on a car that they drove by where they saw the kids in the back seat jumping up and down out of a car seat and called the cops on the car because he said man they were driving on I think it was 275 which going 275 like towards the airport people are nuts driving that way. What's more dangerous? A woman breastfeeding her child or me trying to eat gas station sushi?

Hi, so I just wanted to comment on the breastfeeding while driving. I don't agree that I don't think it's safe to, like, breastfeed your baby while they're in your lap. But, I mean, if you're, like, on a road trip and you're, like, in the backseat and you have to, like, nurse the baby while they're in the car seat, I mean, that's a different story. So I don't know what the mom, what the situation the mom had. But sometimes a mom has to do what a mom has to do.

Yeah, I wish in the case of, you know, what Spike saw, she would have just pulled over for five minutes or something. Yeah. Oh, yeah. An airbag is going to kill the baby. Yeah.

Hands down kill the baby with an airbag.

Okay, you're in your 30s. Remember station wagons? Okay. Now, I know they're coming back a little bit. People sometimes have them. So we had a station wagon where you sat in the back on a bench seat looking at the cars that were coming your way. And honestly, I would get car sick all the time in my mom's station wagon. But the gas tank was underneath us, and we had no seatbelts on it. So if somebody if somebody rear ends us, not only are we the first line of defense and protecting my family up in the front of the car, but we're also about to explode when it comes to little.

The wagons had they they marketed it for little kids to sit in the back. The thing folded up and there was this little they called it the rumble seat where little kids could sit back in the back and you're waving at the truckers behind you. And we call the tumble seat because my dad drove so aggressively we would be tumbling all over the back in the trunk.

Did your parents ever have those big metal vans with the backseat that folded down into a bed? And you could slip in the bed if you wanted to. My parents had those, and we would roll around on road trips. We wouldn't be in a car seat. We would just roll around in the back.

How about pickup trucks? You know what I mean? How about the guys at the pickup trucks?

Riding in the back in the bed. I always think that the- Totally illegal, but everybody still does it.

Hey guys happy new year Congrats Shannon I love you I love you all So quick thing, former CPS worker in two different states, again, this all depends on the state, but on the two different states that I worked in, if you pull that baby out of the car while it's moving and somebody calls it in, especially if they for some reason take photos, which will be weird, that's going to be an open CPS case because you are putting

that baby at risk it takes half a second for an accident to happen and if for some awful reason that happens that baby could get injured so i definitely encourage people just pull over for a little bit i know it's going to delay your like arrival but really the last thing you want is to think back you know i can't believe i took my baby out jill does that even include the backseat

Yeah, because I mean, I can't tell you what a cop will do, but at least on the two different states that I've done it again, every state is different. Like there's different laws for leaving your child alone in one state versus the other. But again, if if you get pulled over or if an accident happened, you know, maybe law enforcement would be kind. But if it's not the first time that there was like a warning made or a report made about the baby being in the car seat, not being in the car seat, it's going to end up on likely an open CPF case.

I typically mind my own flipping business usually. Like I would never call the cops. I don't know what that mom's going through, what her situation is. But if the windows were down in summertime, at that red light, I would have said something and make her feel uncomfortable or make her think about it. Just because maybe she doesn't know any better, but I'd just say that airbag, you know, that baby's not safe. Because, I mean, I'd rather have someone be 10 minutes late somewhere to pull over a nurse than to have something tragic you can never take back.

Yeah, hey, Mojo, I'm about your age. But back in the 70s, me and my brothers, my dad bought this big 40 Conoline van, and it didn't have any seats in the back. It was just a cargo van. We had a piece of carpet in the back and a loveseat. Oh, my gosh. Like house furniture. Exactly. And we got to acting up, just rowdy in the back, and we thought we were well out of reach of Dad. Of course, we found out otherwise when he slammed on the brakes and we went sliding.
