I feel like there are some people out there that feel like they can just do whatever they want. They're entitled to whatever they want. And that's how they live and operate. And I ran into one of these people when I went to Kroger. Picture this. I'm in Kroger. Got all my items. I'm in the checkout line. Now, typically, I do self-checkout. Today, I wanted to talk to somebody. So I chose an aisle that had a cashier and a bagger, dude. So I'm in the lane, right? It's somebody already checking out. It's a guy in front of me, and then there's me. The checkout lane, this is one of the good Kroger's where they got both sides working because, you know, sometimes they shut off one lane, which I don't get. But this is one of the ones both are working, one physical person at the checkout. So I look over to the left and the right. There are active self-checkout lanes that are available for anyone to use. The guy in front of me realizes this, leaves the line, goes to self-checkout, so now I'm next in line. I still stay in my spot because I want to create a pathway for people to walk through or push their carts through if they need to pass. This lady rolls up in one of the little plug-in scooter joints, right? Yeah. Looks at the line. First, she looks at the line, like, where I'm going at the cashier to see how many, you know, the guy in front of me has to see if we about to go. Notices he's about to finish, looks back at me and says, Can I go? Can I go in front of you? I said, No. she looked like I had slapped her or something like how many items did she have she said I got this is literally that's a great question because the next thing I heard most was I only have one thing I looked over at self-check I said their self-checkout and then she shifted why you say wow I think it was rude okay we'll get there okay she shifted it in gear and then she didn't speed off but as fast as they could go went to self-checkout i felt like an a-hole at first but then i remembered that she looked at me as though i was just supposed to allow her to go because she quote-unquote had one item and then i was like no you don't deserve this you're not entitled to go before me go on self-checkout with your one item and allow me to go you're totally
