Yeah, so I actually found out that my husband didn't have a job for almost a year. He'd been lying and saying he was going to work, and every day when I'd ask him, oh, how was work, he'd make up something. But I found out finally because one day his car was repossessed, and I thought it had been stolen, so I called the police, and they're like, oh, no, it was repossessed. And I couldn't believe it. I was like, what? So I hung up and I was like, what is going on? So he had not been going to work for like a year. He'd been lying to me about it.

Wow.

He lost his car. Our house had been foreclosed on and he didn't tell me. And he got arrested for not paying child support. Oh, my gosh.

Oh, my gosh. Where did he say he was going all that time that he said he was going to work for a year?

i mean he said he was going to the office he'd like he would leave for the day and he would come back at the end of the day and um like i found out he'd been just going to strip clubs

My situation is my ex-husband, basically, we were trying to move to a different state. And when we moved, we were supposed to get an allowance for moving. So instead of moving to the state where we were supposed to go, we ended up not moving there. I think he collected the moving fee. And then I think they found out we didn't move to the state where his job was.

Oh, geez.

And I think they fired him. And it wasn't for about a couple months that I didn't realize when he was going out of town, out of state, that he really wasn't going to work. So that kind of came out two months later.

Geez. Wow. And you pick up and have to move. That's crazy.

Well, some of those, and then they're going to come back to you for that money, and it's going to be just a complicated, expanding problem.

Monica also had a husband that would get up every morning, Monica, right, and pretend that he was going to work?

Well, this was actually my girlfriend. She was married to her high school sweetheart, and they had been together eight to ten years, and he was getting up fast and pretending to go to work every day. and it took her months to figure this out because of the money in the bank or not in the bank being put in the bank. Yeah, she was totally devastated.

So do you know where he was going? Like this always fascinates me.

Dad, I'm not sure. He probably went to his buddy's house and hung out all day.

Yeah. You know what's funny is I think about this. Like where would I get up and go to every day? Because there's like, I don't know, like if you were going to fake it, like where would you go? You'd go anywhere.

Like, I would think Starbucks, but then I can't afford the Starbucks every day.

But also then people would, like, your neighbors or people, like, mutual friends would see you. Yeah. Right? And then it would get back to your wife or husband or whatever. I'd probably go, like...

I felt big where she was devastated. I'd walk around a Target or a mall or something.

No, because then you're tempted to buy stuff and you don't have money to buy stuff. Eh, I don't know.

We'd be tough with our job. They just turn on the radio and you're not there. That's true.
