them to babysit yeah yeah yeah yeah i had uh we needed a babysitter the other day and we went through and asked my mom and asked ally's mom and they couldn't do it but then they suggested somebody else to do it and this person from what i know uh about them is just not like the best at taking care of themselves in general which is fine i'm not judging like i'm not judging at all

Right, and it's not just little things. Like, they chose, they made a decision to not wear a coat during, like, that snowstorm and shovel a driveway just because they were too stubborn to wear a coat and literally got sick and, like, almost frostbite because they made this decision. And I'm not exaggerating. Like, skin was coming off of their body. Oh, man. And they're like, and they just did it. Like, there was no reason. There was no, they just didn't want to do it.

So let me just get back up for one second. So you asked people to babysit, couldn't find it. And then somebody said, oh, I'll recommend this person. And so this person, as soon as you heard that, you're like, yeah, that's the person that almost got frostbite by being outside without a coat on. So that was that was the way. Are they had they also had other things that in their past that would make them maybe not the most responsible or smart person?

uh it just it just feels as though like there's they're still like in that phase of their life and everybody's there at some point but they're still in that phase of their life where they're like i'm gonna do this because i want to do this not because this is a smart choice to do okay do you know what i mean like i'm gonna stay out or stay up for three days in in party or or do whatever because this is just what i want to do like they have no other like they have no other responsibilities that you know and they're not hurting anybody how as far as like watching my

kid how old are they are they are they just a young are they young or they close to their 30s

oh gosh yeah so they know better they yes yeah yeah yeah because i still because i'm always i'm

always amazed i'm always amazed at how much more mature sometimes our babysitters that we've had that are like 16 years old are than friends of mine who are 40 you know yeah yeah like maybe that my friends who are 40 need a babysitter just to watch over them to protect them from uh from any

harm and it's such an awkward conversation to have like because they were right there when we were having this conversation and i'm like no well you know what we're gonna uh you know i think we'll i think my cousin i just made something up at the time i think my cousin might do it or something

like that it's like you've already declared that you've gotten down to the second third and fourth tier of choices and can't find anybody and then you're like no no no but not you you know right

You know what's funny? And by the way, you should call us up and you should tell us about that person. The grown person who you would never allow to do anything adult. You'd never allow them to babysit your children or whatever. And why it is that they are probably not responsible enough because they can't take care of themselves.

I feel like we all have friends that are still in that stage where they don't have huge responsibilities. But they can still take care of themselves when it comes to having to take care of themselves. You know what I mean? This person cannot take care of themselves at all.

I'm not going to lie. I was worried when Megan got a dog. I was like, okay, wait a second. She's going to.

This whole conversation is very pointed. No. I don't like it. That's the thing. I would trust you to watch my kids because you know how to be responsible when it's time to be responsible. If it was cold outside, you wouldn't go, I'm not going to put a coat on because I just don't want to. because I'm an almost 30-year-old person who just doesn't want to put a coat on.

I know some people, though, that don't ever wear coats. I mean, not to derail the topic that you're bringing up right now, but there are some people that are just non-coat. Like, I don't know what the story is with teenage boys that don't want to wear coats.

Oh, it's all teenagers. Is it? My daughter will never wear a coat.

I don't get it. My son will leave the house in what is, like, the coldest weather we could possibly have, and he'll not have a coat at all. And I'm like, you understand that you do have to walk from the parking lot at school to your, you know, your school. Right. He's like, well, I don't know. I don't like where I have to put the code.

Yeah. Then I have to carry it.

a relative on chelsea's side so chelsea had to handle it and then chelsea called her mom up And her mom, you know, was like, maybe she was having a bad day. Well, don't have a bad day with my kids. Candy?

Yeah, but you're going to show them like Edward Scissorhands then? That's right. You're going to show them that movie?

Yeah, that's exactly what she was doing in the house. What's going on? What do you think about this with Mike where Mike cut off the girl or guy? He didn't say who they were.

Doesn't even matter. I'm 37, okay, and I got a niece and a nephew. Eight and five. One is my goddaughter. And I've never. One time, my nephew was four. And I watched him alone. But after that, I never. And my cousin, every time he said no, it's just like, I just need to get away from her. Or she needs to get away from him. And I'm like, what is wrong with me? I'm like, why do these kids have been me?

Wait, so they just skip right over you. Yeah, why would they not choose you, Candy, to watch their kids? What makes you irresponsible?

I mean, I bring them, like, water guns and stuff. Because I don't play with the kids. Like, don't play with auntie. Don't play with me, right? Yeah.

Other than that. You're not a get on the floor and get physical and have fun. You're like, I'm watching TV.

No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm opposite. We shut off the TV. No iPads. We get outside. We're shooting the water guns. We're doing it on the play set. That doesn't sound bad

My answer is I didn't have to show them Edwards with a hand. So, like, nobody was supposed to have a knife in hand. Yeah. I mean, kids are kids, right? Like, they're supposed to get hurt and bumps and bruises. But you fall down, get up, and keep it moving. You know what I mean? Like, that's how we had to do it. In 85, like, we couldn't watch. We watched TGIF, like, Family Matters. That was the only every Friday for us. Yeah.

I love those. Family Matters, That's O'Raven, all those shows were good.

Yes. Yes. And it was literally four hours a week, not four hours every single day. So when Auntie Ea comes over, no, we're going outside. We're doing something.

um i was just calling because when my son was young he's going to be 11 now but he's probably around two or three um i had left to go get diapers and i let my dad watch him and once i came home i picked my son up and i smoked something and i was like well that smells disgusting it was burnt hair and he had lit his hair on fire and he had also lit our puppy on fire and it was kind of like a quick stinge i guess and this was while grandpa was watching oh yes my dad was in charge for all of maybe seven minutes he lit them on fire i can't think

of a much worse thing that they could do to a child yeah and i didn't even realize it at first

because i picked him up i was like yeah you don't smell right and then i went to go pet the dog and

it was all brillo patty his fur did your son say how it happened was it a cigarette yeah he went

Yeah, he went into Uncle Cody's room, and he had found a lighter, and it was like a lighter that was shaped like something fun, I guess, that a kid shouldn't have. And so he was playing with it and then realized that he had singed his hair, and then he tried to singe the dog as well.

Oh, my gosh. I remember coming home one time after my brother babysat our kids, and the kids, both of them, Joe and Jacob, were in diapers still. and you could literally see the diapers hanging off of them because there was so much urine in the diapers. And my brother was like, oh, yeah, I didn't tell you. I don't change diapers. It's like, I probably should have done that. So did you find a babysitter or are you still looking for one?

Mike? I think we have one, but we're going to have, it's one of those situations where we have to move. We have a babysitter for like two or three hours and then we have to move it to another babysitter. And I don't care. It's still better than what Ross.
