what I was going to say is the reason I had a certain level of anxiety was because we were going into this and I literally did not know how the game is played It's like, I can't think of a good analogy. Let's see, games. Okay, Monopoly. Okay, let's just say that you're supposed to go and you're about to play a high stakes, even though I just said the stakes are low, game of Monopoly. But you literally have never seen the board before. Like, we've played fantasy football, but every time I'd sort of reach out to a friend and say, you know, hey, how does this work? They'd be like, oh, man. You know, like my friend Udich, who listens to this show, he'd be like, oh, no, man. Like, fantasy football is checkers. Now you're playing chess. I'd be like, that doesn't help. play to win the game like what how does pitching work and like I literally just didn't know and there are just some key things that as the day went on I just started I started spreading the questions out across three or four different people in my life so I wasn't bombarding all one person but then my incredibly baseball obsessive friend Paul who lives here in town like he's he's literally got every baseball prospectus book like the physical copy of it going back i think 15 years or something he used to hang out and chase around the minor league team when he lived in um when he lived in dc so like that that cat knows what's going on but i worried that he's so in the weeds on some of this stuff that when we give our list of so-called keepers to the rest of the league like is it going to look like we're crazy because he's a crazy madman like am i going with my gut here also i haven't heard heard of a lot of these players because i'm not that much into baseball you know like so waking up yesterday I was like I don't even know where to begin with this but then by the time the day ended and we had our list of five keepers out of whatever our roster is 22 it really felt like I accomplished something today like I woke up with my brain lacking a huge chunk of information and a lot of stuff was filled in now there's still a lot we have a long road to go Luke we're one week away from the draft people are telling me that I need a pee bottle for this and that I have to wear special socks, which I will not be doing. But, you know, in our football stuff, I usually, I'm going to whisper this part, I usually just let the computer do it. And that's verboten in this world, apparently. So we still have a long, we have a pretty big hill to climb, but I do feel like we accomplished something yesterday.
