Coming to you from the Nest Broadcast Center, high in the sky, above Portland, Oregon. Where we are looking at a, um, kind of a cloudy day. Impossible rain. Rained a bunch yesterday. I've been getting very used to it being warm and beautiful, and today, no sunshine. Hey, where's the freaking gabagoo? So we will, um, we'll just persevere. I'm sure that there'll be a point in the middle of summer when it's averaging 90 degrees here in Portland. I keep bringing this up on the show, but as a semi-recent transplant, I am learning that the weather is a bit different here than, say, Seattle or Bellingham, Washington, the Bay City. I just assumed it was all part of the same deal, but no, it is noticeably warmer here. So I'm sure there'll be a point when it's roasting this summer that I'll be wishing it was 74 degrees and overcast. So I'm going to just really try to treasure today, be present, and really just enjoy this for what it is. and hopefully you'll be able to be present for episode 3,439 in a collector series. Let the fun begin. I mean, you are present. Like, you're here. Like, if we were taking attendance and I called your name, you would raise your hand. I just mean, like, emotionally present, mentally present. That's all we ask of the listeners of this show. We ask that you donate your hard-earned money to help us keep doing it for our job And that you block out all distractions and sit in quiet reflection and are totally and completely emotionally present for the next one to four hours of your life, five days a week, 52 weeks a year. Speaking of being emotionally present and emotionally raw, I got a chance last night to finally watch Bo Burnham's new comedy special, Inside.
