cost of things well it's funny i'm just remembering this now and i actually don't even want to talk about it because i kind of it's kind of like a um kind of quasi embarrassing moment for me like But I do – as much as I'm a rural follower or maybe because I am a rural follower, I don't like being told what to do. And the last time we were in Hawaii, we were actually staying at some sort of a resorty place. Again, I think this was a gift. I think it had something to do with Genevieve's family's timeshares or something. And it was going to run out, so we took this kind of trip. It was just like whatever. It was a very, very nice time. It was a very nice gift. But I remember we were down at the pool, and I don't even think – and it was a place that had like pool bars and restaurants and various things. and at one point, Genevieve and I are down there, and Genevieve has some cup of something that she had brought from upstairs, I suppose, and some, you know, resort guy who's kind of, like, going around, like, you know, an employee, kind of a manager-y kind of guy is going around and, like, kind of making small talk with people, and he crouches down. Genevieve and I are hanging off the side of the pool, exactly like the position that I like, right? Like, hanging off the side of the pool, I got a paperback in my hand, elbows on the pool edge, Genevieve is sitting next to me, her feet are dangling into the pool, she's drinking whatever is in this plastic cup she brought down and this guy comes down and he you know he crouches next to us and I automatically just hate him I don't know why I just do I hate these kind of people and he's just like making he's doing his job like whatever but he's just like he said hey how you guys doing enjoying it like making small talk and then it's like and then and I didn't see this coming and then he says to Genevieve okay and we can't allow outside food or drink down at the pool here so why don't you uh why you know so you know whatever I have to ask to put that away or whatever and i i said something snarky to him in that like very classic andrew way of getting really hot and angry and embarrassed and then saying something not super sensical you know and i think i said something like well you could have cut the small talk or something like that leading up to it because i just felt like i was both being we were both being told that we were breaking the rules which is not a feeling you're being condescended to and i also felt condescended to by this like you know douchey hunky you know resort manager guy i was like just cut it you know what i mean if you're gonna go around being the the dean of student affairs and giving us demerits then just be that person you could you know i could
