Oh, I was going to put some of these carrots in with the roast. Anybody here a vegetarian? I am. Yeah.

00:00:06 - 00:00:07 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah?

00:00:07 - 00:00:08 | Speaker 3:

Vegan, actually, yeah.

00:00:09 - 00:00:13 | Speaker 6:

You're not vegan. Yeah, I am. I've seen you eat raw beef.

00:00:14 - 00:00:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, maybe from a long time ago, but people change. Be quiet, Martha.

00:00:19 - 00:00:27 | Speaker 6:

I think Martha might have had a little too much Zimt and Dole. Hey, keep my name out of your mouth, Cheryl. It's Shelby. Who gives a s***?

00:00:27 - 00:00:31 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry, Martha, but it's best that you leave.

00:00:34 - 00:00:49 | Speaker 3:

I should drive her home. If she's going to throw up, she should do it in her own car. And, uh, look, I was just trying to press you all. I, uh, I'm not a vegan. I had a salami log for breakfast this morning.

00:00:52 - 00:01:16 | Speaker 1:

TBTL! and when they bring that high hard one in i stand in and lean back and then just bam and it sails away out through the universe like a radio wave that goes past saturn and jupiter pluto through the black hole and into many other galaxies yet named that was funny yeah i know

00:01:16 - 00:01:23 | Speaker 6:

Hey, we have the same taste in words. He's starting that funny talk again.

00:01:25 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 4:

All right. Hello, good morning, and welcome, everyone, to a Monday edition of TBTL, the show that just might be too beautiful to live. A special Monday edition of the show this week, because, of course, we are honoring Martin Luther King Jr. Day today. So, bringing you a slightly truncated show, but I'm telling you, we're going to pack so much entertainment into the next 30 or so minutes. You're not even going to notice. You're going to be tired of how much great content you're hearing after 30 minutes. You're going to say, no mas. You're going to be like Roberto Duran. You're going to be on the canvas. You're going to be saying, please, Luke and Andrew, you must stop this entertainment. I cannot handle one full hour of this, which is why today we're only bringing you a half hour of it. Anyway, hi, my name is Luke Burbank. Right over there, my good friend, Andrew Walsh. How are you? I'm entertaining. Oh, I meant to tell you, Andrew's going to sing the entire episode, which is why you'll really be ready for it to be over.

00:02:27 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 6:

You gave such a buildup. I didn't know how to pack more entertainment into my presentation. So I'm giving you that.

00:02:34 - 00:03:00 | Speaker 4:

And, you know, I'm still in Las Vegas as we're recording this, and I'm looking out on the strip, and, you know, I'm looking at Caesar's Palace. I'm looking at the Venetian, all of these, you know, and they've all got these digital signs on them now that are just showing all manner of entertainment. You know, Donnie Osmond is here, and Jack Harlow, and someone called Shin Lim. I could see your face up there with all of them.

00:03:01 - 00:03:06 | Speaker 5:

I have a really dumb question for you. I think I know the answer to this. The Rockettes are more of a New York institution, right?

00:03:06 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 4:

They're a Radio City musical. Do you know that I went to a Rockettes wedding in Clearwater, Florida once?

00:03:14 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 5:

Do you mean that one of them was getting married and you were there, or it was a themed wedding?

00:03:19 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 4:

God, wouldn't that be an amazing theme? You have to wear like a sequined, pretty tiny dress, and you have to be really ready to do some high leg kicks if you want to be part of this wedding. Actually, you know what? I lied. It was not a Rockette's wedding. It was the sister of a Rockette who Carrie knew through some acting stuff she had done. And we went to Florida. It was the fanciest wedding I've ever been to in my life. It was at a place called the Vinoy. Really? In sort of, yeah, the Tampa-St. Pete Clearwater area. And I have to admit I was waiting the whole time For the Rockette to break out Some kind of Rockette-esque move At the wedding reception And I don't think it happened I think it was probably because she was like You know what, this is my sister's day Everybody knows, I can kick my friggin' leg Above my head But today, on the day of my sister She also talked like Marlon Brando Interesting

00:04:17 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 2:

Today on the day of my sister's wedding I will not do my Rockette kick

00:04:24 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 5:

how was that she sounds like such an interesting person i mean she's a rockette she talks exactly like marlon brando in the godfather this is how we make the listeners ready for the show to be over at 30 minutes this is a cbs story could you do a profile on her because i am already intrigued i feel though there are obviously there are vegas showgirls is maybe the the what i'm thinking yes

00:04:46 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

and they're everywhere here and i have to be honest last night and last night andrew I felt a little How do I put this? Okay, well, on the Friday show I mentioned that from

00:05:00 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 2:

my hotel room i can see i'm at the cosmo the cosmopolitan but i can see the venetian and the venetian is where um we're doing a series of television interviews around the subject of beatboxing and it is i mean vegas like perspective if you will or like oh i don't know the word i'm looking for but the sense of like how close things are in vegas versus how far they actually are is just wild because i am looking at the venetian and from where i am it really looks like it would be a maximum of a five minute walk oh yeah it looks like it's in there yeah you said it was yeah i was like yeah and as i was going around the hotel last night so i had arrived and the crew was already over at the venue and i had been on a plane so i kind of wanted to stretch my legs a little bit and so i thought oh just walk it's five minutes away i'm looking at it and i was asking various folks like security guys and stuff like uh what's the best way to walk to the venetian And they were like, it's a hall. Well, yeah, I was like, what's the best direction? And they were like, well, it's that way, but it's a it's a walk. And I was like, is it? I mean, do you even know that I'm a guy who has gone to the gym two times in the last week early in the morning and won't shut up about it? Like, who are you dealing with? And let me tell you, Andrew, it was a long walk. It was tiring and probably not set up for a walk either.

00:06:17 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 1:

Right. Towns like that are just not set up. Like, I dislike it when we find ourselves in a situation. And Viz and I are so used to just like walking here and there. And then you find yourself in a city that it's like the idea of walking is just so antithetical that you're crossing, you're climbing over barriers and walking across Home Depot parking lots.

00:06:36 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

It's so weird here in Vegas because it is, in one sense, an extremely walkable city. Like the Strip, I mean, I'm just talking about the Strip. It is designed. I mean, most people don't rent a car. It is designed for you to walk on And yet it is also so poorly designed Because what it's trying to do at all times Is shunt you into a mall that sells Gucci stuff So in other words, you can't just Back in my day, you used to be able to walk down the strip It was like Aurora You could just walk down it If your friend was picking you up for some reason In the car, they could just pull over You could get in their car now there's like all these barriers between the sidewalk and the street so you cannot go from the sidewalk to the street also you can't just walk the length of it you get to an intersection and it's there are these all of these kind of like elaborate gates and things built that then you have to go up an escalator guess what happens when you go up that escalator you're forced into going into the shops at the forum of Caesar's Palace and you have to freaking go through that to get out to the other side where there's another like sky bridge that then allows you to go across the street so it's like in one way this place is well designed for walking in another way i.e i don't really want to go to margaritaville right now it's poorly designed for my desires but as i was making my way down the strip um in a circuitous fashion two of those i guess you would say vegas showgirls approached me because this is a whole thing that they have which is a lot of um uh women will put on that you know kind of elaborate feather situation and whatever and then they'll kind of stand around on high sort of pedestrian traffic areas and then you can take a picture with them and then you tip them and there's also minions out here there's spider-man there's like you know you name it they're out here trying to get you to take a picture and these two um i will just say vegas showgirls i guess i I'm a better name for them, were walking past me and they said, do you want to take a picture? This was last night. And I said, no, thanks. Have a great night. And the one said, oh, he's shy. And I have never felt more diminished.

00:08:50 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 1:

That's how they get you.

00:08:50 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 2:

I wanted to say, I'm not shy. I don't want to say, I'm not trying to sexualize you. You're 10 years younger than my daughter. What am I going to sign it and give this picture to my girlfriend? Like, what is the use of this picture in my life? I'm not shy. I just don't want a picture with you. I didn't say any of that.

00:09:06 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 1:

I just thought about it in my head as I continued walking down the strip. The rest of the 40-minute walk is just you're reliving that over and over.

00:09:13 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 2:

I'm just thinking of what I should have said that would have been. And also, by the way, not judgy because, like, these are people that are out there trying to make a living. Like, it wasn't like I was mad. I just wanted to explain myself.

00:09:24 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 1:

So this is a bit of a changing conversation here. But you remember on the show late last week, I want to say, I invoked the memory of co-ed naked blank T-shirts, which was, you know, a trend in the 90s, I believe. And it was always some sort of saucy thing like co-ed naked duck hunting. We do it till you squawk or something. It was always like some weird. And as you can see, I'm not good at coming up to sit you down and explain the birds and the bees. to you but yes keep going are ducks not birds i think i understand it perfectly it's in our house it's called the ducks and the grubs um oh dear god anyway i think i used as an example because i didn't have that wonderful co-ed naked duck hunting example right at my fingertips i tried doing something similarly embarrassing with co-ed naked pickleball and i can't remember like i think i said co-ed naked pickleball our balls are always bouncing or something which was equally terrible right somebody i just logged on to mastodon which has been my oh you're still doing that okay that's good i am still doing mastodon although i will say i was looking at it a lot more before vacation i kind of fell off and while you were talking right now i just happened to open up my mastodon tab and i was like oh i haven't checked this out in a couple of days somebody sent me a link can i actually credit this person do they have a name um not a name that it might be our friend brent i don't know but somebody um actually has created a co-ed naked pickleball t-shirt do you want to guess what the tagline is am i putting you on the spot here i do i do want to guess is it um can i give you a hint because it's going to be tough or do you want to do one and then i'll give you a hint yes um i it's does it is it something

00:11:14 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 2:

about is it like an entendre about a pickle no and i'm going to tell you i'm going to tell you

00:11:20 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 1:

a few things that it's not it's not an entendre about a pickle although that's that's good i wish

00:11:25 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 2:

I feel like that's a missed opportunity, but okay.

00:11:29 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 1:

It is not a double entendre about balls or paddles. It is a double entendre about Jesus. No, it's a double entendre about the popularity of the sport.

00:11:45 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay. So it's a naked co-ed pickleball club. Well, it's got it right.

00:11:51 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 1:

It's co-ed naked pickleball.

00:11:53 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 2:

Co-ed naked pickleball. And it's like popping up all over.

00:12:02 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 1:

Ooh, that's when we sit down and we talk about venereal diseases. It is. Boy, I really feel like I'm taking this. Does this look infected?

00:12:13 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 2:

Co-Ed Naked Pickleball Association.

00:12:16 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 1:

Don't scratch that. Don't itch that. Co-Ed Naked Pickleball. We're all calling our former partners. um okay here it's i'll tell you what it is co-ed naked pickleball it's big and getting bigger is

00:12:31 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 2:

what these artists oh that's good that's good because everything i thought about that was balls related it didn't i mean you know everyone gets to enjoy their bodies however they choose to enjoy them but everything i was thinking of sounded like something that wouldn't be particularly to my taste like coed naked pickleball association uh you know hitting our balls whacking our balls

00:12:56 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 1:

this is such a dangerous game we're playing here um i we have a happy mlk day everyone i this is so inappropriate i'm gonna run an idea by you and you tell me if you want to run with it um but we have one top story that we're gonna talk about today which is fine but we could also hold it till tomorrow because what i have in front of me right now is a google image search result with a whole bunch of classic co-ed naked t-shirts in front of me oh my gosh what if we come back from the break i tell you what they are and you try to guess what the tagline is it's an extension

00:13:28 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 2:

of the winter games i this is exactly how dr martin luther king jr would feel so terrible this most this most somber day of reflection to unfold on tbtl it's co-ed naked fill in the blank so on me this is so on me i apologize but i've never been more intrigued andrew that's the thing i'm contributing i'm i am i'm enabling you because i really want to do this quiz when we return from

00:13:56 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 1:

this short break here on tbtl hello and welcome to top story all right luke all right you ready for this i was almost going to tell you this before the break to give you a couple of minutes to think about it we're going to start with this one and and by the way just if you are listening with children i mean we are talking co-ed naked double entendres here so just know that things are going to get a little saucy things are already are already a little saucy what i would say is

00:14:26 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 2:

uh i assume in this day and age if you have kids in the car they're sitting in the way back and they have on like uh you know wireless headphones and they're watching um you know paw patrol i

00:14:38 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 1:

would turn that up a little bit exactly they don't overhear this co-ed naked paw patrol no no do it on all fours no okay sorry all right i'm sorry no no sir good sir you've gone too far okay you're gonna guess what is the tagline for co-ed naked billiards which is the first thing that popped up here. Oh, okay. And by the way, all of-

00:15:00 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 2:

I'm actually looking at Google Shop, so if you want any of these, I can buy them for you.

00:15:04 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 1:

They're gently used. Oh, God. Okay, does it involve, is it related to the billiard balls or is it related to the pool cue? It is related to the pool table.

00:15:18 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 2:

The pool table. Didn't see that coming. Is it doing it on felt? Very close. Co-ed naked billiards get felt on the table. It is filthy.

00:15:29 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 1:

Terrible.

00:15:30 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 2:

People are walking around with these shirts in the 90s.

00:15:33 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 1:

I assume the back says, with consent, right?

00:15:35 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they all say that, Luke. They all say that. Okay, good. This one isn't. Oh, thank gosh. Oh, this isn't very good at all, but I'm just going to go in order here. Co-ed naked running. There's no way you're going to get this because it's terrible. It doesn't fit the rhythm of the other ones. But you are a runner, so maybe you'll be more tapped into this. Have you ever run naked? I'm more of a jogger.

00:15:56 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 1:

I have not, I'm happy to say. And I think the people who I run near are also happy to know that this is not something I do in the, as they say, altogether or au naturel. Let's see. Co-ed Naked Running Club.

00:16:13 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to give you a hint. I already told you it doesn't quite fit the other ones, but it rhymes.

00:16:19 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 1:

Ooh. Okay. It's not one of those. Because, you know, if this were one of those, we were talking about the stupid Big Johnson's T-shirts, but there was another one that was like these dogs. You know that one that was like, it was like big dogs. It was like, if you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

00:16:41 - 00:16:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I remember that. Oh, yeah, yeah.

00:16:42 - 00:17:11 | Speaker 1:

And also one of them was, and this would apply, this would sort of apply to running, which is like, if you're not the lead dog, the view never changes. Oh, yeah, because you're looking at a butt. You're looking at the southbound end of a northbound dog. Yep. I don't know. I can't even have. Hold on. Let me think. Let me think. Give it a shot, but this one is ridiculous. They lose this. Co-ed Naked Running Club. Let's see here. Is it something about jiggling?

00:17:12 - 00:17:27 | Speaker 2:

It is not. I'm going to read it to you here because I don't think you'll ever get it. And I'm really disappointed in whoever came up with this. Co-ed Naked Running. take it in stride with nothing to hide is how that one supposed yeah right yeah i feel like

00:17:27 - 00:18:34 | Speaker 1:

the mechanics of that are off like i'm trying to picture that uh and i don't feel i feel like it would be like one person is running away from the other person which seems like you know a that's definitely not consent pretty much the opposite in stride i'm trying to think yeah in stride i guess i'm also you know my mind is the one that's in the gutter because just because these people are naked it doesn't mean necessarily that there will be something conjugal happening right this could just be for i mean you know listen right here in nevada there are countless number of what they call naturalists right uh who uh not like to be confused with like jane goodall although i don't know her life um but you know people are naturists there's just like there's a term that nudists like to use now that's not nudist because i think it's very loaded i think it's called like naturist or something there are lots and lots of communities around here sounds right what's that i think naturist sounds right yeah but there are lots of those communities out here and it does not mean necessarily that there will be um you know uh sort of amorous activity because some people just like to be nude so i guess my mistake is i'm assuming that these t-shirts are all a sex thing but

00:18:34 - 00:19:00 | Speaker 2:

they're not they're a naked thing yes although the little again to use this term too many times the double entendre sort of belies that a little bit though because they're clearly I mean there's some titillation certainly going on here like this one again I feel like they needed to find a rhythm and get into it this one is but you are a gambler Luke you're in Las Vegas so what do you think the co-ed naked gambling shirt says there's a co-ed naked gambling

00:19:00 - 00:19:04 | Speaker 1:

okay okay okay again though

00:19:04 - 00:19:14 | Speaker 2:

I mean you're you're it's working against you here because it's a terrible it's a it's a command a sentence it's like telling you what to do

00:19:14 - 00:19:24 | Speaker 1:

um okay hold on is it um does it involve snake eyes it does not nope nope does it involve

00:19:24 - 00:19:33 | Speaker 2:

cherries it does not it's got a picture of um four playing cards on a green background it's got a

00:19:33 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 1:

cigar burning in an ashtray is it something about like strip poker or yeah i'm gonna give

00:19:40 - 00:20:04 | Speaker 2:

you this one because what are on the cards anything well just it's there are no numbers it's just one of each suit um i am just gonna give you this one because you'll never get it it's absolutely everything that you're saying is a better idea that's why i want to move on like there's stuff you could do with flushes there's stuff you could do i mean whatever um I don't know. But they just have a co-ed naked gambling, lay them on the table.

00:20:06 - 00:20:17 | Speaker 1:

What is M? Lay them on the table. Lay them on the table. What? Your hands, your body parts, I guess. Lay them on the table. I see.

00:20:17 - 00:20:22 | Speaker 2:

It's just a better idea when I thought these were going to be better. Co-ed naked bar hopping. Okay.

00:20:22 - 00:20:37 | Speaker 1:

Uh-huh. What's on the shirt? By the way, happy birthday, Tiesto. I just wanted to mention that. They will not stop showing a giant 50-story sign on the Hilton Resorts World Casino that just says, Happy Birthday, Tiesto! Oh!

00:20:37 - 00:21:22 | Speaker 2:

And you know, I did a whole newsletter the other day because I was embarrassed. During the Hey Dummies video, I believe the Mariners had just signed Teoscar Hernandez. Oh, yeah. And I accidentally called him in the video, Tiesto Hernandez. And I was so embarrassed about it, and I couldn't edit it, right? I literally was recording that one from my car in the dark parking lot of a Goodwill or something. But it lived in my head so large that I called Teoscar Tiesto that I did a whole newsletter. I don't even remember what it was about. It was comparing the two fellas, one of whom is, oh, you know what? I came across when I was doing that, and you'll be happy about this too. Do you know that Tiesto is older than us, Luke? Famous electronic musician Tiesto.

00:21:22 - 00:21:25 | Speaker 1:

His birthday is apparently today as we record this.

00:21:25 - 00:21:39 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I'm looking that up now. He was born in 1969. He's so cool. We still have time. By the way, his birthday is coming up in four days. No, I'm sorry. Well, you can't start celebrating too early. Yeah, his birthday is actually coming up, I guess, as we record this.

00:21:39 - 00:21:47 | Speaker 1:

You don't want Tiesto's birthday to catch you unawares. I mean, you start. Co-ed naked Tiesto birthday appreciators.

00:21:47 - 00:22:15 | Speaker 2:

dance till it falls off is it's actually going to be tomorrow as this airs January 17th 1969 but I mean you think of Tiesto birthday to all you think of Tiesto as like a very like cool like I mean is there a cooler thing you can be other than like the world's most famous EDM musician and like he's older than us it just feels that's great more time

00:22:15 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 1:

I had a real crisis Last week as this airs When I was I was just thinking I don't know why I was just thinking Who the hell wants to listen To two 50 year old guys Do a podcast five days a week It just had an intrusive thought That was just like We're so irrelevant Who cares about this shit And then I was at the gym I don't know if I've mentioned but I've been going to the gym two times and a guy was wearing a t-shirt that was like two bears one cave which is a podcast hosted by people that i think might be our age maybe probably not older but our age and it's um burt kreischer and tom sagara both of whom i i really like um from what i see in these clips it's weird i like experience their podcast in two minute clips on tiktok but seeing this guy at the 24 Hour Fitness in Portland wearing his Two Bears One Cave t-shirt as he was exercising I thought well there's two other guys that are kind of our age I think well Joe Rogan's probably older than us but I was like I guess as long as there's as long as Tiesta was older than us we're going to be okay is really what my takeaway from this is

00:23:28 - 00:23:42 | Speaker 2:

Joe Rogan is 55 I'm a mere 46 and I'm looking at photos of him about in the same shape actually if you're just talking about the amount of hair on our heads aside from That this man is bulked out. God, I guess I've never seen him with his shirt off.

00:23:42 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 1:

Do you constantly look like someone just took you out of a chokehold and all the blood has rushed to your head? All those guys that are on T, like Dana White, who's the now embattled head of, you know, MMA. Not embattled enough, I would like to say.

00:23:59 - 00:24:09 | Speaker 2:

That story is not exactly as big as if the commissioner of football was caught on tape hitting a woman. Yes, yes, exactly.

00:24:09 - 00:26:17 | Speaker 1:

Sorry. Those guys, if we can focus on the important part of this story, Andrew. Oh, by the way, dude. Sorry. We this is this is one of the most off the rail shows we've done in a long time. And it happens to be on a day of remembrance and somber consideration. So I apologize mostly to Tiesto for ruining the day before his birthday. Yes. Yes. But when I was at the Freestyle Love Supreme show here in Vegas, as I mentioned on Friday show, it's they take prompts from the audience and then they they just write these like on the spot. They improvise these incredibly inventive songs. Well, they bring someone down from the audience, Andrew, and ask them about like how their day was. And the person was a 9-1-1 dispatcher and how their day was is that they had had a 9-1-1 call that involved. uh a potential or an allegation of some sort of domestic violence going on can you imagine andrew like you just like sitting in the room in this packed theater where it's like the songs have been previously about like funny silly things the time somebody had a bathroom accident or what have you and this and and the way this works is they're doing the song about the things the person is saying and so the guy who's kind of the mc i was actually impressed because he had to then try to navigate this where he was like not just glossing over it not acting like not trying to just be like nothing to see here but also trying to keep it sort of i wouldn't even say light but he was trying to respond genuinely to what this person was saying on stage but it was genuinely a kind of troubling story and then they had to do a song that involved i mean it wasn't exclusively about that it was about the woman um you know driving getting up really early because she gets up at three in the morning to go to work and then picking her husband up and them driving out to vegas from la and then them coming to the show it was like everything was funny it was about how like the husband is lazy and doesn't get up as early as the wife etc etc everything's cool and then at some point the guy had to slide in and this is very serious he literally had to do a segment of the song about the 911 call really yeah that's where i would have just been like

00:26:17 - 00:26:26 | Speaker 2:

okay you know what just what's your favorite color like what's your favorite color what's favorite food let's just try going in a new direction here he's an action word that ends

00:26:26 - 00:27:12 | Speaker 1:

in ing yeah but but i think probably their training is and the way that they've practiced it is basically like that's i'm sure that's a thing that happens where like serious topics come up and you do this if you do this thing seven nights a week in vegas and they probably have a policy of not trying to gloss over things they try to you know i guess because it could feel disrespectful to someone if they were telling their story and then you just kind of like skipped it you swerved on that because it didn't you know like nothing rhymes with restraining order but like so they probably have a policy of like trying to honor the information they're being given but i'd tell you what uh i was nervous yeah i was very nervous in the room um anyway

00:27:12 - 00:27:17 | Speaker 2:

happy birthday tiesto happy birthday tiesto do you want one more shirt i'll tell you one thing

00:27:17 - 00:27:22 | Speaker 1:

there is a um firefighting one get me off the topic of 9-1-1 calls that's fine oh the other

00:27:22 - 00:27:27 | Speaker 2:

thing was give me a favorite color in flavor no go ahead the other thing was the emcee of this

00:27:27 - 00:27:59 | Speaker 1:

thing who again i thought was very talented he did a quite amazing job i i keep saying this i was totally blown away by this show but he kept calling um the 9-1-1 call because he was like oh the 9-1-1 dispatcher he kept calling it 9-11 oh that's and i was like we we have we've all decided that there's 9-11 means one thing yeah like pre-9-11 you could call 9-1-1 9-11 you can't call it that anymore because when you say 9-11 we are all thinking of what we think of as 9-11

00:27:59 - 00:28:19 | Speaker 2:

was this person young now we're going back to age was this person who was calling 9-1-1 9-11 were they younger than us significantly like well everyone except tiesto is younger than yeah yeah but because i do wonder if that's a post 9-11 thing that a younger generation sees 9-1-1 and just always says 9-11 because 9-11 has been omnipresent for most of their lives.

00:28:19 - 00:28:40 | Speaker 1:

I wonder. This person definitely seemed younger than you and me but was not, like, 22. My guess would be this person was, like, maybe early, mid-30s. He was also very fit, so I can't tell, you know. He could be my age and just takes better care of himself. He could be Tiesto's age, Andrew. We just don't know. Okay, one more co-ed naked T-shirt.

00:28:40 - 00:29:33 | Speaker 2:

I mean, this show is such a mess as it is. How did I bring 9-11 into it? I did. I know, but like it's just now I'm talking about the impact of 9-11 on our culture on MLK's birthday while I'm trying to read filthy shirts. By the way, speaking of there is a firefighter shirt here that I'm not even going to read to you. It's absolutely filthy, co-ed naked firefighting, even though we have a nice segue into firefighters. I'll give you co-ed naked volleyball, my friend. Okay. And I feel like this is a good rhythm. The lontandra rhymes a little bit. Bump, set, spike. That was one that I saw, but then it sort of fizzled out. This is a different one. Okay. Co-ed naked volleyball. On the blank is where you blank. And those blank words rhyme.

00:29:33 - 00:29:47 | Speaker 1:

on the net is where you get lucky i don't think that's how scansion works it's a slant rhyme

00:29:47 - 00:29:58 | Speaker 2:

uh here i'm gonna give it to your co-ed naked volleyball on the floor is where you score oh sure except that's kind i mean the stretch in terms of the rules of volleyball i mean yes

00:29:58 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 1:

if the ball hits the floor.

00:30:00 - 00:30:09 | Speaker 2:

on the other team's side and it's inbounds yes you won't score and if it was i mean i've spent a lot of time watching a lot of volleyball in my life andrew that isn't typically how we describe

00:30:09 - 00:30:30 | Speaker 1:

it we volleyball heads and you would call it a court right yes should be on the court is where you court someone there thank you can we bring back some respectful oh my god co-ed naked volleyball shirts that's it like respectful memes yes exactly how about co-ed naked shirts

00:30:30 - 00:31:22 | Speaker 2:

that would have been from the victorian age how about co-ed appropriately dressed volleyball club in the garden is where you pardon me yes um uh let's see here uh we're always decent because we get consent watch out freestyle love supreme i'm coming for you with those amazing improvised rhymes i just did all right before we get out of here and we do i promise and i want to say promises made andrew The promise is kept. I told the listeners that 30 minutes of today's show would be more than too much.

00:31:22 - 00:31:23 | Speaker 1:

Yep. No, that is true.

00:31:23 - 00:31:25 | Speaker 2:

And I believe we have delivered on that promise.

00:31:26 - 00:31:28 | Speaker 1:

Yes, unfortunately. Sorry, everybody, but thank you.

00:31:31 - 00:31:37 | Speaker 2:

Sorry, but thank you. The classic TBTL salutation. Co-ed naked donating.

00:31:38 - 00:31:40 | Speaker 1:

I'll come up with a take.

00:31:40 - 00:32:24 | Speaker 2:

Co-ed naked inappropriate holiday content. Yes. Paid for by our donors today Including Heather Woodford Of Gilbert, Arizona Oh, I don't know Gilbert I can practically see Gilbert, Arizona from here I'm waving at you, Heather You're just past the Venetian I think it's like a five minute walk Yeah, to Gilbert Yep Thanks also to Douglas Smiley Of Seattle, Washington Thank you, Douglas Thank you for the support I can also see Seattle from here I can't see Alexandria, Virginia which is where Jane Durden is. But we do appreciate Jane's support from all the way out there in Alexandria. Oh, look at this. A Media, Pennsylvania sighting.

00:32:24 - 00:32:33 | Speaker 1:

That's where Matt Hatfield is checking in from. Have we heard of Media, PA? We talk about those towns that seem like they're named after an industry or whatever, and I wonder if this is...

00:32:33 - 00:33:07 | Speaker 2:

Well, because, you know, you've got Redding, Pennsylvania, which I'm guessing is also associated with the Redding Railroad on Monopoly. I would guess, yep There's of course Intercourse, Pennsylvania But we've done enough We've talked enough about that kind of Sexual jibber jabber today, Andrew And then, hey, we're staying in Pennsylvania With Mark Bourne Our friend Mark Bourne, who's in Westchester, PA Thank you, Mark I believe Mark was An over-the-road trucker And now is maybe an airline pilot Oh, really? Oh, wow, congratulations Yeah

00:33:07 - 00:33:17 | Speaker 1:

That reminds me of one of my dreams I'm always dreaming about transportation. Like, usually I'm driving somewhere, and then I'm racing to an airport. So it sounds like Mark's living my dream, literally.

00:33:18 - 00:34:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he is. And he's living my dream in that he's supporting the show financially. I often dream about Mark supporting TBTL with a donation each month. And dreams come true, my friends. Thanks also to Amy Cash. That Amy Cash could get us out of a couple of jams, Andrew. And Amy Cash has gotten us out of a few jams. Thank you. Sure has. Amy's in Seattle. Thank you so much. Thank you to all of our donors. today for making this very special very somber episode of tbtl possible please listen to this on tuesday i know if you're hearing this and it's monday it's too late but i feel like if you listen to this on well first of all it's tiesto's birthday what better way to celebrate than listening to this monday edition of the program but i would just feel better if you did that so all right i am andrew you know what i have to do right now i have to take the long walk to the uber pickup area and then take a car down to the venetian i'm not gonna walk it again because i've got i've got beatboxers waiting for me down the street never i've always wanted to say that waiting never you don't you never follow beatboxer to a second location and you never keep them waiting on this the day before tiesto's birthday uh so so that's where i'm gonna go uh and i'm gonna say thank you to everyone for listening uh we're gonna be back here tomorrow with more imaginary radio for you.
