like you're getting into bowling I've only I went bowling twice recently with a buddy and I uh I love bowling my mom and I were on a mother-son bowling league one year we won I think mother boy we had a big trophy exactly like strong mother boy vibe uh my mom was very into bowling she's a very good ball uh bowler she had her own uh like kind of a pearl colored ball uh that was very nice um she was in various leagues bowling was on television a lot growing up for me that's asmr the sound of like 1980s bowling just like uh on in the background so anyway i do love bowling But it had been a long time since I'd gone since I think maybe pre-pandemic, maybe once since the pandemic. I don't know. But I'm also getting to I'm not like a germaphobe kind of person. I think you're much more kind of in your head about like, you know, laying your head down in a hotel bedding or what have you. Like that stuff just doesn't get in my head much. But I got to say, we're thinking about going bowling and making a little bit more of a regular thing. And those shoes are nasty, man. Like I can treat myself better. Like, I just sort of feel like the like I'm not going to save any money at the bowling alley if I have my own shoes. It just kind of comes with the price of bowling, you know, of the alley or whatever the lane, I should say. So it's not like, oh, these shoes will pay for themselves after three wearings. But like they'll pay for themselves after three wearings like me just not having to use the nasty ass bowling shoes that are at. And again, I shout out to Linwood Bowl and Skate. I love you guys, but let's face it, like an old-ass bowling alley has old-ass bowling shoes. And the thing I'm running into, which I think you would find, I think you can relate to this, is bowling shoes have been updated. So they make bowling shoes that are, you know, proper to be wearing on the lanes, but they don't look like good old-fashioned retro bowling shoes. At least a lot of them now, they're like, hey, like tiger stripe. They look like lame-ass tennis shoes, sort of. And I'm like, I don't want lame-ass tennis shoes. I don't mind that they look like the traditional bowling shoes. I love that look. I had friends who wore bowling shoes just around town in the 90s.
