And then you scroll down further to Reddit and someone has put the headline in. It's disappointing that I Stand Alone is God Smack's most popular song, exclamation point. And then someone else says, honest thoughts on God Smack? I think they kind of stole the name and the sound. And while they have moments I'd always rather go right to AIC Do I stand alone on this? I was very put off by alcohol as a teenager. I just didn't like the taste of it very much, so I didn't have a lot of it. But I do remember being in the woods and running from the cops, even though I was holding an empty solo cup. I had nothing to fear except fear itself. I also remember, I think it was one of my brothers. I think it was one of my brothers who's not named David. So that sort of narrows it down. i just i mean we have like if you if you allow it which one might not it's interesting that we have a mosquito conversation after the jurassic park now we have an alice after alice in wonderland wonderland and alice in chains at the beginning of the show So, like, the 9-11 thing, I mean, it's all kind of coming together.

See, this is what I'm talking about. This is how it starts to happen. You start to see the patterns. You know what, Andrew? You, the veil has finally fallen. You've been red-pilled, my friend.

I don't know why in the minute 46 of what's supposed to be a half hour episode of the show, I need to delve into this. But like, of course, when 9-11 happened, it was like, will there ever be one second of my life that I'm not thinking about this? You know, will there ever be a moment where this moves even just to the middle of my brain? And now, and I don't say this to be to be glib or dismissive, but I will wake up on September 11th. And I will then, upon hearing something on Morning Edition, go, yes, this is the day that happened. Like it's become more like other kind of major events in the U.S. history that I, you know, think about. It's certainly the big one that's happened in my lifetime, but it is has not it has not stayed at the very tip of my brain the way it fully felt like it was going to when it happened.

Yeah. I mean, and we're going on. I mean, it's, you know, we're still a couple of ways away, but we're inching ever closer to the quarter century anniversary of that, you know, and that's and I think that, you know, you say maybe the generation before us, maybe they would have similar thoughts about the day that John F. Kennedy was assassinated. The thing about 9-11, of course, is there are plenty of people who are still alive who were directly impacted and their families were directly impacted by that in a way that has fewer comparables. But, yeah, no, I'm with you, especially because that happened. I was on the East Coast. I noticed a big difference when I came to the West Coast. And maybe that was, I don't know, 10 years later, not quite 10 years later. And for us on the East Coast, as radio programmers and public radio, you still kind of built a programming day around the anniversary. And then I came out West and I realized, oh, it's not quite as immediate out here because I was producing shows right outside of Boston and New Hampshire back then. Whereas in Seattle, the connection was even slightly more distant.

Yeah.
