probably because somebody was cleaning out their parents' house and they're moving into a smaller thing and they're just like throwing all kinds of shit into a box and taking it to goodwill and so it's a little bit of like you that is definitely maybe like a like a casino like it will with this hdmi work or not you know but there is something about like when you finally just throw away a cable and get a new one and it's secure you're like why didn't i do that a lifetime ago so that's part of it but i have a i have a like a relationship with um grocery shopping that is similar to yours but probably from growing up completely differently. Like I just, my parents, I was just so secure in every way kind of financially growing up. We didn't really talk about money. I don't think my parents did the best job of probably educating me about money because they just provided everything, you know? Like I didn't get an allowance, for example. And some people will be like, well, you didn't get an allowance for all the work you did? It's like, yeah, but I wanted for nothing, you know? So because of that, I have this strange relationship with money, I feel like where, um, like when I go to the grocery store, it wasn't until recently that I started looking at prices as of course, prices have been shooting up over the past couple of years, but like, you know, I'll buy deli meat, like, you know, the stuff, I don't buy stuff that is like branded by Oscar Mayer and then put in plastic. I buy deli meat, like from the deli and, uh, you know, like shaved there in the grocery store. And like, I picked up a thing of, I think roast beef the other day, it was like three quarters of a pound or maybe even half a pound or something. and it was like and i happened to look at the label and i buy this occasionally right like 18 i was like what like that's 18 for me i think it was like half a pound maybe it was closer to a full pound of of lunch me but it never occurred to me that that would be like close to 20 bucks you know and then i was like wow i just go through life just like buying things and then especially at the grocery store and i think genevieve can't wrap her head around that relationship that i have. Like, I just don't pay attention. But then once you start paying attention, I can understand how it can get a little bit obsessive, right? Like once you start looking at every single price.
