Our neighbors, our neighbors who I don't know them, but I'm on this like kind of neighborhood email list about various things going on in the neighborhood. And every now and then if somebody has a pet go missing, they'll post it there. In fact, I say every now and then this might have been the first time I've seen this. But somebody about, I don't know, I'm going to say maybe a block and a half from me, but on one of the roads I live on, I live on a corner, said, you know, our cat, I want to say Mindy. No, no, no, Ivy. Ivy is such a nice name. Wait, don't you have a baby Ivy in your family? No, you don't. You do not. Maybe one of our listeners. Not that I'm aware, but it's a big family. It is. It's a big tent. But anyway, and apparently it's a cat that kind of comes and goes indoor and outdoor. But I realized that they were concerned because the cat sticks around the house. Like to me, that's always like the ideal life of a cat, right? If you can trust your cat to be, you know, sharp enough and strong enough to live on the outside, but you can still care for it. Like it seemed like that's a pretty good life for a cat. But like in the same week, there were emails going around about coyotes being seen in the neighborhood and somebody saying our cat who's an indoor outdoor has not returned now. in, like, a 24-hour period, and just that thought made me go and hug my cats. Like, I'm just like, I cannot. I'm not the type of person who can just say— You're hostages. I just went and I hugged my hostages, and I said, please, hold up— Have you hugged your hostage today? I said, hold up this kiddie newspaper so I can take a quick photo of you with it. But, yeah, that feeling of, like, I almost wonder, like, you know, i'm assuming that that family was worried especially because of the reporting of of coyotes in the neighborhood but i'm like i wonder if that cat is still an indoor outdoor cat because that would just put the fear of god and be like the idea of having a dog now that i especially i can really picture your property and luke yeah having like you know a labby kind of dog or whatever like kind of running around but then you give them that whistle that some people can do the you know like maybe you use your fingers maybe you don't and he or she comes running back to you and they're full of piss and vinegar like that that sounds so so ideal but you have to have a dog that can kind of
