I got my Fireman Ed outfit together, and that would have been just a freaking genius pull for last night. That would have been incredible timing. Just keep asking, why am I not on the screen, guys? Why am I not on the screen? Anyway, so all this comes to a head at about 5.30 local time, and I realize, like, I got to be over at the theater pretty soon. I still don't have an outfit. I got to get over to that Spirit Halloween. And so I jump in a lift. I go to the Spirit Halloween on Canal in Chinatown here in Chicago, and I can't seem to find it because, of course, famously Spirit Halloween locations are kind of the hermit crab of the American retail industry. They just move into the wreckage of an auto zone or something, although in this case it was in the interior of a mall, and there was a hastily zip-tied vinyl banner that said Spirit Halloween outside. But then when you went into the mall, I couldn't find, there was a DSW, there was a Mervyn's, there was a variety of things. None of them were the Spirit Halloween. I was like, oh, I need to find out which one of your, which one of your compatriots, which one of your retail locations failed most recently. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? Like, you have the Survivors, you've got your DSW and your Mervyn's, they're hanging on by a thread. You've got your Five Below. And it's like, okay. Oh, I don't know Five Below. Oh, I didn't either. And more on that in a minute. So I go. Finally, I take the escalator upstairs. I go around. I find around a corner there is. I really I'm going to be honest with you, Andrew. I smelled it before I saw it because the amount of marijuana smoke and just a marijuana kind of energy that was radiating from this spirit. Halloween was quite something. It smelled so strongly of pot. I couldn't believe it. And again, I'm what do you attribute that to? Do you attribute that to the clientele? going in their blaze clientele at 5 45 p.m. on halloween day at the spirit halloween in chinatown
