This is Trivia for Kids, where it's not just for adults anymore.

00:03:19 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 5:

Bonjour. Welcome to this episode of Trivia for Kids, the podcast. I'm Casey. I'm Quinn.

00:03:32 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 6:

I don't know why I started as French. I just wanted to try something different, and that's what popped into the old brain. Mademoiselle Casey. Ooh. I like being called mademoiselle. Have you ever been called mademoiselle? No, I've never been to France. I don't know that people in America would call me Mademoiselle. You're welcome to, though. What is the kid version of Mademoiselle?

00:03:54 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 5:

Kidawasselle. I don't know.

00:03:59 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 6:

How are you today, Quinn?

00:04:00 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 5:

I'm tired. I'm laying here while I'm doing it.

00:04:03 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 6:

We normally record our trivia after church on Sundays, but since you guys are out for summer, we're doing it on a weekday, which is not normal for us. So Quinn got up and I was like, let's record trivia. So you're a little sleepy yet, aren't you?

00:04:16 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:04:16 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

You know what'll wake you up? Joke. You know it. Our first joke is from Anya T. Thank you, Anya T. What is a cow's favorite movie? I have no idea. Moana. Our next joke comes from Jojo, who is eight and from Pittsburgh. Thank you, Jojo. Why was the clock in the cafeteria always slow? Because it always went back for seconds. That's a good one. I've never heard that one before. And our last joke comes from Rocky, who is 11 from Alberta, Canada. Thank you, Rocky. What do you get when you put a jar of mayo...

00:05:00 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 2:

in a boat that has a hole in it, Cinco de Mayo. That's awesome. I think you made that one up, that's funny. Thank you for the jokes, everybody. Thank you guys. All right, Quinn, here's your sussed conversation starter. When someone finishes using the toilet, how should they leave the seat? Up, down, or however they found it. Tune in to hear what Quinn says at the end of the show. All right, kiddermoiselle, it is time for the trivia for kids. The trivia for kids.

00:05:34 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 1:

Let's go. Let's start. Oh, that's not it. Here's how the show works. Trivia for Kids consists of five rounds with seven questions each. We will announce the answers at the end of each round. Each new round will have a different category. After the fifth round, we will have the final exam, which will test you on the toughest questions we have covered in the previous rounds. Everyone ready? Let's get started!

00:06:08 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 2:

Round one, the category is riddles. Question one, what has a bottom at the top? Question 2. What is red and smells like blue paint? Question 3. What has one head, one foot, and four legs? Question 4. What gets smaller every time it takes a bath? Question 5. What tastes better than it smells? Question 6. What runs around the whole yard without moving? Question 7. How many bricks does it take to complete a building made of brick? parent challenge when is a door no longer a door and now the answers to round one quinn how excited are you that it's riddles this week i'm pumped question one what has a bottom at the top Ooh, did I stump you right away? Yes. I don't know, man. Your legs. Because what's another word for booty? Bottom. Bottom at the top of your legs. Question two. What is red and smells like blue paint? Red paint. Red paint. I thought that one was really funny. Question three. What has one head, one foot, and four legs? A bed. A bed. I never really thought how many body parts a bed has. A foot and a head and legs. Huh. Question four. What gets smaller every time it takes a bath? A bath bomb. Oh, yeah. I would accept that. I was going for a bar of soap. Oh. But totally bath bomb. I will give you that one as well. Okay. Question five. What tastes better than it smells? Your tongue, your mouth. Yep. Your tongue is correct. I'm trying to think of a food that would taste better than it smelled. I don't know how that works because those senses work together. So I don't know if that's really possible, but maybe. Candles smell good, but they taste bad. Oh, that was a very Tim Taylor sound that I just made. Question six.

00:09:09 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 2:

What runs around the whole yard without moving? A fence. A fence. You're too good at these. Question seven. How many bricks does it take to complete a building made of brick? That's a weird question. That doesn't make sense. However many it takes is however many it is. The answer is the last one. It only takes one brick to complete a building made of bricks. That one was tricky. Parent challenge. When is a door no longer a door? When it's a gateway to possibilities. I'm just thinking random things today. I'm sorry. That was deep. Really deep. The answer is when it's a jar. Ah! So the word ajar, A-J-A-R, it means when something is open a little bit. Like when a window is ajar or a door is ajar, that means it's just open a little bit. So a door isn't a door when it's ajar. It's kind of a joke.

00:10:16 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 3:

That was more funny than it was Ridley. Nice.

00:10:20 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 9:

Did you mess with my phone? Why is my connection suddenly good? We're trying T-Mobile. We switched to T-Mobile?

00:10:26 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 7:

And before you ask, they didn't ask for a credit card, credit check, don't worry.

00:10:46 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 9:

So you did mess with my phone.

00:10:48 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 7:

Well, yes. So you can help me make the decision to switch to America's best network.

Question two. What color food is typically served at Juneteenth celebrations? Question three. Which president signed the law making Juneteenth a federal holiday? Barack Obama, Joe Biden, or Donald Trump? Question 4. What day is Juneteenth celebrated on? June 15th, June 17th, or June 19th? Question 5. Which constitutional amendment officially abolished slavery across the United States? The Fourth Amendment, the Ninth Amendment, or the Thirteenth Amendment? Question 6. What is another name often used to refer to Juneteenth? Peace Day, Freedom Day, or Equality Day. Parent Challenge

00:15:00 - 00:17:56 | Speaker 1:

How many U.S. states have officially recognized Juneteenth? Answers to round two. Question one. What does Juneteenth mainly celebrate? The end of the Civil War, the end of slavery in the United States, or the first U.S. president? The end of slavery in the United States? That is correct. Juneteenth marks the end of legal slavery in the United States being announced in Texas, specifically marking the day in 1865 when Union soldiers brought news of freedom to enslaved people in Galveston, Texas. It celebrates African American freedom, resilience, and culture while serving as a day for reflection and education. Question two, what color food is typically served at Juneteenth celebrations? Purple. The answer is red. Red foods and drinks are common and can symbolize strength, resilience, and the blood of ancestors. There are not a ton of foods that are red. I'm trying to think off the top of my head. Pomegranate, watermelon. Strawberries, raspberries. but that would be kind of difficult to come up with red food. Thankfully, there's red food coloring, so I wonder if people make food and then dye it red to get the red? I don't know. That's very interesting. Question three. Which president signed the law making Juneteenth a federal holiday? Barack Obama, Joe Biden, or Donald Trump? Joe Biden? You're right! President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth holiday bill on June 17, 2021. Question four. what day is Juneteenth celebrated on? June 15, June 17, or June 19? June 17. The answer is June 19. That's interesting that he signed the bill on June 17, but we celebrated on June 19. Why aren't those the same? Yeah, I wonder. Hmm. Question five. Which constitutional amendment officially abolished slavery across the United States? The Fourth Amendment, the Ninth Amendment, or the 13th Amendment? 13th. You are right. The 13th Amendment was ratified on December 6, 1865, officially abolishing slavery in the United States. Question six. There is a revised red, white, and blue flag that honors Juneteenth. What symbol is at the center of the flag? A star, a crescent moon, or a triangle? Triangle? The answer is a star! The flag, created by activist Ben Haith, founder of the National Juneteenth Celebration Foundation,

00:17:56 - 00:20:53 | Speaker 1:

has a white star in the middle, representing the Lone Star State of Texas, as well as the freedom of African Americans in all 50 states. Question 7. what is another name often used to refer to Juneteenth? Peace Day, Freedom Day, or Equality Day? Freedom? No, Equality. Should have stuck with your first guess. Juneteenth is also referred to as Freedom Day, along with Emancipation Day and Jubilee Day. Parent Challenge! How many U.S. states have officially recognized Juneteenth? All 50 is correct. Everybody celebrates Juneteenth. Yay! Yay! Round three, the category is the human body. Question one. What is the primary function of red blood cells? To fight infection, to carry oxygen, or to filter waste? Question 2. What is the name of the large bone in the upper leg? Tibia, femur, or humerus? Question 3. How many chambers does the human heart have? Two, three, or four? Question 4. What substance gives skin and hair its color? Keratin, collagen, or melanin? Question 5. Which organ produces insulin? Gallbladder, kidney, knee, or pancreas? Question 6. What is the name of the tube that connects the throat to the stomach? trachea, esophagus, or larynx? Question 7. Which organ filters waste from the blood to produce urine? Liver, kidneys, or spleen? Parent Challenge. Which organ can regenerate itself even if up to 75% is removed?

00:20:55 - 00:23:53 | Speaker 1:

answers to round number three question one what is the primary function of red blood cells fight infection carry oxygen or filter waste carry oxygen that is correct red blood cells contain hemoglobin which binds to oxygen in the lungs and transports it throughout the body question two What is the name of the large bones in the upper leg? Tibia, femur, or humerus? Tibia. The answer is femur. The femur or thigh bone is not only the longest bone in the body, but also the strongest, capable of supporting 30 times the weight of a person's body. Wow, that's a really strong bone. It would be hard to break that one, and if you did break it, oh man, that would hurt. Question three, how many chambers does the human heart have? Two, three, or four? I'm gonna guess three. The answer is four. The human heart has four chambers, two upper chambers called the right atrium and the left atrium, and two lower chambers called the right ventricle and the left ventricle. So in the atriums, they receive the blood, and the ventricles pump the blood. So each of the four chambers of our heart has a different job to make sure that the blood goes to different parts of our body. Pretty cool. Question four. What substance gives skin and hair its color? Keratin, collagen, or melanin? Melanin. You're right. Melanin is a pigment produced by cells called melanocytes. The amount and type of melanin determines your skin, hair, and eye color. So the darker your skin, the more melanin you have, and the lighter your skin or your hair, the less you have. Question 5. Which organ produces insulin? Your gallbladder, your kidney, or your pancreas? Your pancreas. You are right! The pancreas produces insulin, which is a hormone that regulates blood sugar levels by helping cells absorb glucose. Question 6. What is the name of the tube that connects your throat to your stomach? Trachea, esophagus, or larynx? Esophagus. Yep, you are right. The esophagus is a muscular tube about 10 inches long that uses wave-like contractions to move food to the stomach. So your esophagus, you don't even feel it, but it kind of makes little tiny waves that when you

00:23:53 - 00:25:38 | Speaker 1:

swallow food, it helps them move down your throat, down your esophagus, and into your tummy. Question 7. Which organ filters waste from the blood to produce urine? Liver, kidneys, or spleen? kidneys you are good at these the kidneys are the organs responsible for filtering blood removing waste products and producing urine located on either side of the spine below the rib cage these two bean shaped organs contain millions of tiny functional units called nephrons that filter about 50 gallons of fluid daily 50 gallons of fluid in one day think about how big a gallon of milk is yep big think about what 50 of those would look like um like as big as this room a lot and our kidneys do that in one day every day 50 of those i had no idea that is a ton Parent Challenge. Which organ can regenerate itself even if a to 75% is removed? I don't know. The answer is your liver. The liver has remarkable regenerative abilities and can regrow to its full size even if up to 75% of it is surgically removed. That is wild. So let's say you take a whole pizza and you take away three quarters of it and you're only left with one little quarter at the top. Now, let's say that pizza was your liver. That pizza can then remake the whole pizza again, even though just a little sliver of it was left.

00:25:38 - 00:25:44 | Speaker 2:

If that was real pizza, then I would definitely, that'd be a great thing to say. That would be in

00:25:44 - 00:28:44 | Speaker 1:

our fridge for a long time. We would definitely buy that pizza, wouldn't we? Round four of the Category is celebrities. Question 1. Which singer became famous from the Disney show Hannah Montana? Question 2. Who plays Thor in the Marvel movies? Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth, or Robert Downey Jr.? Question 3. Jenna Ortega is famous for playing which classic character in a Netflix show? Question 4. Jack Black is the voice of which of these animated movie characters? Sully in Monsters, Inc., Mr. Wolf in Bad Guys, or Poe in Kung Fu Panda. Question 4. Hugh Jackman starred in the movie The Greatest Showman. Where is he from? The United States, Australia, or the UK? Question 6. Millie Bobby Brown plays what numeric character in Stranger Things? Question 7. Which boy band released the 2019 hit Sucker? Parent Challenge What is Zendaya's last name? Coleman, Johnson, or Williams? Answers to the fourth round Question 1 Which singer became famous from the Disney show Hannah Montana? Miley Cyrus? Miley Cyrus was Hannah Montana. Didn't they just do a reboot, like a Hannah Montana now or something? I haven't watched a Hannah Montana episode in my lifetime. You kind of were between the Hannah Montanas with your age, but I feel like they just did, like Miley Cyrus was just her again for some reason. I don't know if they did a new movie or like a Hannah Montana, where is she now kind of deal. But yeah, Miley Cyrus is the answer. Question two, who plays Thor in the Marvel movies? Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth, or Robert Downey Jr.? Chris Hemsworth. Chris Hemsworth is Thor. Do you know who Tom Holland plays?

00:28:44 - 00:31:36 | Speaker 1:

Tom Holland plays Spider-Man. And do you know who Robert Downey Jr. plays? He plays Iron Man. Very good. Since Brooks was so into Marvel when he was younger, we know a lot about Marvel. Question three. Jenna Ortega is famous for playing which classic character in a Netflix show? She plays Wednesday in Wednesday. She sure does. Ren and I love Wednesday. That's sort of our show that we watch together. You've watched a couple episodes, but Ren and I are always like, let's watch Wednesday. Question four. Jack Black is the voice of which of these animated movie characters? Sully from Monsters, Inc., Mr. Wolf in Bad Guys, or Poe in Kung Fu Panda? Poe? Jack Black is Poe. That is correct. Don't do that. You didn't? I did not know that. Yeah. Question four. Hugh Jackman stars in the movie The Greatest Showman. Where is he from? The United States, Australia, or the UK? It better be Australia because it's Hugh Jackman. Oh, that's right. He is from Australia. That's always my Despicable Me reference. Wallaby, didgeridoo, Hugh Jackman. That's right. So he is from Australia? Yeah, he is. Oh, okay. Awesome. Question six. Millie Bobby Brown plays what numeric character in Stranger Things? 11. She is 11. That is correct. Question seven. Which boy band released the 2019 hit Sucker? Jonas Brothers. I'm a sucker for the Jonas Brothers. Say the word and I'll go anywhere. Yep, Jonas Brothers is correct. That was a good song. Parent challenge. What is Zendaya's last name? Coleman, Johnson, or Williams? Zendaya Williams, yeah. Her name is Zendaya Coleman, actually. Oh, boy. She's one of the few celebrities that can go by her single name, like Madonna or Cher. Zendaya. We really only know her as one name. Yeah, that's just how cool and famous she is. Do you think I could do that if I got famous? Quinn? Just Quinn. I mean, it starts with a Q. Like, her starts with a Z. I don't know. I feel like the people that only go by one name have a very unique name, like Elvis or Beyonce. You know, those are unique names. Quinn, I know quite a few people named Quinn, but I don't know. Maybe. Maybe just you, for as unique as you are, could go by just Quinn. Round number five. The category is K-pop. Question one. What does K-pop stand for? Korean popular music, kids' pop, or keyboard pop? Question 2

00:31:36 - 00:34:34 | Speaker 1:

In K-pop Demon Hunters, what color does the Han Moon turn when Huntrix defeats the Saja Boys? Question 3. Which K-pop boy band is famous for songs like Butter, Dynamite, and Swim? Question 4. In K-pop Demon Hunters, what color do Rumi's scars turn? Black, pink, or yellow? Question 5. How many members are in the Saja Boys? 5, 6, or 7? Question 6. Which K-pop group currently has the most YouTube followers of any music group? 17. Stray Kids or Blackpink Question 7. Why does one of the members of Huntrix have demon markings on her body? She wants to be a demon, her dad was a demon, or she was injured by a demon. Parrot Challenge. Name one of the seven members of the band BTS. And now the answers to round five. Question one. What does K-pop stand for? Korean popular music, kids pop or keyboard pop? Korean popular music? That's right. K-pop means Korean popular music, a style that started in South Korea. And boy, is K-pop popular right now. Question two. In K-pop Demon Hunters, what color does the Han Moon turn when Huntrix defeats the Saja Boys? Purple? The answer is rainbow. In K-pop Demon Hunters, the Han Moon is intended to turn gold to permanently seal away demons. However, by the film's end, the Huntrix group creates a rainbow or iridescent Han Moon instead. This shift symbolizes self-acceptance and embracing all parts of

00:34:34 - 00:35:04 | Speaker 1:

themselves rather than seeking perfection. Question three. Which K-pop boy band is famous for songs like Butter, Dynamite, and Swim? BTS. BTS is correct. BTS is huge here. Question four. What color do Rumi's scars turn in K-pop demon hunters? Black, pink, or yellow?

00:35:04 - 00:35:04 | Speaker 2:

Yellow.

00:35:04 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 1:

They turn pink. Question five. How many members are in the Saja Boys? Five, six, or seven? Five. Five is correct. So there are less members in Saja Boys than there are in BTS. Because there's a lot of members of BTS. Question six. Which K-pop group currently has the most YouTube followers of any music group? group. 17. Stray Kids or Blackpink. Blackpink? Blackpink is correct. As of early 2026, Blackpink is the K-pop group with the most YouTube followers, having become the first music act in history to surpass 100 million subscribers. They are widely recognized as the most subscribed musical artist channel on the platform. What about Baby Shark? So Baby Shark is the most watched YouTube video, but Blackpink is the musical group or artist that has the most subscribers. Oh! Question seven. Why does one of the members of Huntrix have demon markings on her body? She wants to be a demon, her dad was a demon, or she was injured by a demon.

00:36:25 - 00:36:26 | Speaker 2:

Her dad was a demon?

00:36:26 - 00:37:21 | Speaker 1:

That's right, Rumi, a member of Huntrix, has demon markings because she is a human-demon hybrid. These markings, which spread across her body like a rash, symbolize her deep-seated shame, fear, and internal struggle with her heritage, often growing brighter when she feels overwhelmed. I gotta watch this movie. I still haven't seen it. Neither have I. I know all the songs, though. The songs are so good, I bet I would really like the movie. Parent Challenge. Name one of the seven members of the band BTS. Jinoo? I don't know. I think Jinoo is a member of the Saja Boys. Yeah, I just said one. Here are their names. I'm gonna try my best to pronounce them correctly, but don't get mad at me if I get them wrong. They are Jungkook, V, Jimin, Suga, RM, Jin, and J-Hope.

00:37:21 - 00:37:23 | Unknown:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:38:45 - 00:39:30 | Speaker 2:

My name is Metarica, Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

Data 2H 2025. This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say. Alan Lee, my major is drafting

00:49:38 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 4:

and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year year. I don't think I was mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first day I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great, you know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits, so I think that made me choose drafting.

00:50:00 - 00:50:22 | Speaker 3:

design a Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be, and I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, as of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department, and I've already got a job shadow before, and hopefully I will internship over the summer. If you choose Bishop, we're welcome to have you any day.
